The Institute for Teacher Education and Continuing Professional Development (ITECPD) invites Members of Convocation to a sensitization workshop on the New Four-Year B.Ed Curriculum scheduled as follows:

Time:               9:00am – 2:00pm daily

Venue:             J. Anamuah-Mensah Conference Centre, North Campus

This workshop is an opportunity for Members of Convocation of the University to familialize themselves with the content of the new curriculum, as well as the affiliation arrangement between the University and the affiliated Colleges of Education.  Qualified lecturers who have been nominated by their Head of Department will also be trained on the hybrid mode of delivery of postgraduate courses under this arrangement.

Topics to be discussed include:

  1. General Overview of the New Educational Reforms
  2. Supported Teaching in Schools (STS)
  3. The National Teaching Standards (NTS)
  4. The National Teacher Education Curriculum Framework (NTECF)
  5. Pre-tertiary Curriculum, among others.

The ITECPD will use the services of the curriculum writers and other experts to facilitate this programme to ensure that both teaching and non-teaching senior members of the University are abreast with the components and tenets of the new curriculum.
