The British Council in Sub Saharan Africa has an opportunity for an experienced Human Resources professional to support country operations in Ghana, Senegal, Sierra Leone and Cameroon. The postholder will be responsible for providing British Council staff based in West Africa Cluster with advice and services on a range of HR issues and support the achievement of operational goals.

Qualifications;

  • University degree or equivalent in Business Administration/Human Resource Management from a recognised institution
  • Recognised Human Resources qualification is desirable
  • Proficiency in English – B2 level
  • French is desirable
  • Five (5) years’ progressive experience and track record in HR management
  • Experience and understanding of best practice in HR processes and systems
  • Understanding of relevant areas of HR (Reward, Recruitment, Learning & Development, Performance management, Employee Relations, Labour Law, EDI, and Business Partnering)
