ACCOUNTS CLERKS

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

The successful applicants will be required to perform the following duties among others in the Finance Division:

  • Perform accounting and clerical duties in the Finance Division.
  • Type, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records.
  • Prepare bank deposit slips, general ledger postings and statements.
  • Enter financial transactions in database daily.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess a minimum of WASSCE/SSSCE/GCE Ordinary Level/General Business Examination Certificate with credits in at least five (5) subjects, including English Language, Mathematics and Financial/Cost Accounting.

Applicants must be computer literate with proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel.

Experience

Applicants must have at least one year relevant post-qualification experience in a reputable organisation.

ASSISTANT TRANSPORT OFFICER

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be required to perform the following duties among others in the Transport Department:

  • Ensure the maintenance and servicing of the vehicles.
  • Maintain an up-to-date database of all the institution’s vehicles.
  • Arrange for repairs and routine maintenance.
  • Conduct regular inspection of vehicles.
  • Maintain and complete accurate records.
  • Keep schedules and organise team members.
  • Check vehicles’ log Information.
  • Submit regular and comprehensive monthly reports on vehicle movements, fuel usage and problems.
  • Assist in allocating and rotating appropriate work assignments.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess the following qualifications:

  • A minimum of WASSCE/SSSCE/GBCE/GCE Ordinary Level with credits in at least five (5) subjects, including English Language and Mathematics
  • Higher National Diploma (HND) in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering
  • A Valid Driving Licence ‘C’.

 

Experience

Applicants must have at least three years relevant post-qualification experience in a reputable organisation.

DATA ENTRY CLERKS

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

The successful applicants will be required to perform the following duties among others in the Information and Communication Technology Division (ICTD):

  • Prepare source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information.
  • Maintain data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures.
  • Purge files to eliminate duplication of data.
  • Maintain operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes.
  • Secure information by completing database backups.
  • Key to disk all defective scannable source documents or source input documents not using OMR Technology.
  • Assist in query tracing.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess a minimum of WASSCE/SSSCE/GBCE/GCE Ordinary Level with credits in at least five (5) subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.

Experience

Applicants must have at least one (1) year relevant post-qualification experience in a reputable organisation.

DRIVERS

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

The successful applicants will be required to perform the following duties among others in the Transport Department:

  • Convey materials, equipment, and staff to areas where they are required.
  • Ensure vehicle is kept clean, tidy and in good working condition.
  • Ensure that vehicle repairs are carried out properly.
  • Ensure daily routine maintenance checks.
  • Perform minor repair works on the vehicle.
  • Prepare and submit vehicle monitoring reports.

 

Qualifications

Applicants must possess the following qualifications:

  • BECE with Grade six (6) in at least five (5) subjects

OR

WASSCE/SSSCE/GBCE/ GCE Ordinary Level with credits in at least five (5) subjects, including English Language and Mathematics

  • NVTI Proficiency in mechanical related field.
  • A Valid Driving License ‘C’.

 

Experience

Applicants must have at least on year relevant post-qualification experience in a reputable organisation.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

The successful applicants will be required to perform the following duties among others:

  • Perform routine clerical duties including certification of verified documents.
  • Control and allocate worked scripts.
  • Assist in packing and distribution of examination stationery.
  • Assist in the resolution of queries

 

Qualifications

Applicants must possess a minimum of WASSCE/SSSCE/GBCE/GCE Ordinary Level with credits in at least five (5) subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.

Applicants must be computer literate.

Experience

Applicants must have at least one (1) year relevant post-qualification experience in a reputable organisation.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

The successful applicants will be required to perform the following duties among others:

  • Prepare minutes of meetings and proceedings of seminars/conferences.
  • Manage files and other records in an office.
  • Handle correspondence between departments.
  • Copy documents for mailing or for internal distribution.
  • Perform routine clerical tasks and errands to assist others.

 

Qualifications

Applicants must possess the following qualifications:

  • A minimum of WASSCE/SSSCE/GCE Ordinary Level/General Business Examination Certificate with credits in at least five (5) subjects, including English Language.
  • A relevant certificate issued by the Government Secretarial School.

In addition, applicants must be computer literate and proficient at using Microsoft Office Suite.

SECURITY COORDINATOR

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

The successful applicants will be required to perform the following duties among others in the Security Department:

 

  • Advice Management on security related issues.
  • Work in collaboration with the Head of Security to protect personnel and properties of the Council.
  • Work towards the prevention of examination malpractices.
  • Liaise with WAEC Police Unit and other national security agencies to investigate examination malpractices.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Management of the Council.

 

Qualifications

Applicants must possess the following qualification:

  • A minimum of WASSCE/SSSCE/GCE Ordinary Level /General Business Certificate Examination with credits in at least five subjects including English Language and Mathematics.
  • Diploma in Security related discipline from a recognized Tertiary Institution. OR
  • Retired Officer from the Armed Forces with the rank not below Major or equivalent rank in other security services.

 

Experience

Applicants must have at least five years relevant post-qualification experience in a reputable organisation.

SECURITY GUARDS

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

The successful applicants will be required to perform the following duties among others in the Security Department:

  • Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property and monitoring surveillance equipment.
  • Inspect buildings, equipment, and access points.
  • Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities.
  • Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as instructed.

 

Qualifications

Applicants must possess a minimum of WASSCE/SSSCE/GCE Ordinary Level /General Business Certificate Examination with credits in at least five subjects including English Language and Mathematics.
