WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

Internal: Workshop colleagues, fellow operators/drivers

External: Technical consultants, service providers

Main Purpose of Appointment:

Electrical repair of vehicle
Equipment wiring systems

Functions of Appointment:

Repair electrical wiring problems
Repair lighting systems on vehicles and equipment
Repair of relevant electrical systems; i.e. wipers, horns, electric windows, electrical speedometers
Help fellow workshop staff with maintenance when necessary
Workshop housekeeping
Adhere to company policy on occupational health, safety and environmental issues

JOB HOLDER SPECIFICATION

Formal Education:

National Vocational Training Institute- Certificate, Trade Test Grade one – Auto Electrician 2000 or equivalent/higher qualification

Experience:

At least 5 years’ experience in vehicle and heavy equipment /machinery electrical system diagnosis and repairs
Auto Electricians with 8 years working experience
