We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

Job Title: IT Officer

Responsibilities

  • Implement all HQ IT policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Document system configuration setup and changes.
  • Deploy and implement office network according to HQ specifications, including switches, access points, firewalls, and Network Area Storage (NAS).
  • Identify and resolve problems in the network.
  • Triage, prioritize, and troubleshoot staff support ticket requests. Escalate issues to HQ as necessary.
  • Support and troubleshoot users in the office on their daily work.
  • Supervise installations performed by third parties such as cabling, Internet connection, etc.
  • Supervise and follow up on equipment maintenance performed by other contractors.
  • Implement and enforce security on the network and prevent misuse of the IT resources.
  • Participate in quarterly Global IT meetings hosted by HQ.
  • Responsible for IT inventory; work closely with the DCOP-O and procurement team to monitor distribution and location of IT equipment by performing a yearly inventory check-up.
  • Keep IT equipment healthy by applying all required security patches and monitoring the correct delivery of all antivirus updates.
  • Provide training to project staff on best Internet security practices.
  • Monitor use of IT systems and Internet service to ensure staff are getting optimal service at all times.
  • Implement and document a disaster recovery plan and offsite storage of backed up data.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is desired. Secondary school or technical training diploma required.
  • Must have at least four years of general work experience.
  • Must have at least two years of specific experience in desktop support, ICT, Information Systems, or a related field in Ghana.
  • Strong knowledge of wireless and wired LAN technologies, protocols, programming, and network security.
  • Knowledge of USAID Rules and Regulations, previous experience working on USAID-funded projects preferred.
  • Proficiency in English is required.
  • Proficiency in French and/or local languages spoken in Northern Ghana a plus.
  • Experience with the following tools desired:
    • Microsoft Windows
    • Microsoft Office 365 – SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel
    • Meraki networking equipment
  • Must have existing work authorization for Ghana.

Job Title: Videographer

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Take professional photographs and videos as directed by the Creative’s Communications team and LRI staff. Photos must meet Creative’s and USAID’s standards.
  • Travel with the LRI team to locations throughout Ghana’s northern regions as required.
  • Maintain a library of all photos and footage, organized by date and location.
  • Record individual video and audio interviews based on formats established by Creative and LRI.
  • Obtain signed consent forms from interviewees.
  • Record b-roll of locations, individuals and related matters.
  • Daily review of photos and video footage with Creative and LRI staff.
  • At the conclusion of each assignment, copy all photos and footage to an external hard drive (provided by LRI).
  • Log video in a Microsoft Word document based on criteria established by Creative and LRI.
  • Tag photos based on criteria established by Creative.
  • Provide original SD cards (or similar recording devices) to LRI for safe storage.

Logistics

  • Participate in pre-trip logistics calls, including security briefings.
  • Able to travel during extended periods of time in LRI vehicles to activity locations.
  • Coordinate with Creative and LRI staff on trip logistics and equipment and adhere to schedule and itinerary provided.
  • Comply with all guidelines and policies of Creative’s security team.
  • Complete any other task at the request of the senior management team.
  • All work for this program, including (but not limited to) photography, videography and edited videos, will be the property of Creative.
  • With the prior permission of the Chief of Party and the MEL Manager, the Videographer may use a selection of material for her/his professional portfolio. The Chief of Party and/or MEL Manager may rescind this permission without prior notice.

Creative will provide all needed equipment, including camera, lens, tripod and microphone.

Qualifications

  • Provide a portfolio of professional work that demonstrates consistent, high-quality photography, videography, and audio recording abilities.
  • Demonstrate completion of one or more professional-level classes, training and/or workshops related to photography and/or videography is strongly desired.
  • A University degree in journalism or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Four (4) years of general work experience, and two (2) years of work experience in photography and videography required.
  • Ability to edit video in Adobe Premiere Pro strongly preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency at using Microsoft Office software, particularly Word is required.
  • Ability to work autonomously and take initiative to generate valuable findings and communicate them in a timely manner.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow up on tasks until completion is required.
  • Experience working in a conflict and highly volatile environment is necessary.
  • Fluency in one or more of the languages spoken in northern Ghana preferred.
  • Must have existing work authorization for Ghana.

Job Title: Human Resources / Administrative Assistant

Responsibilities

  • Assist Sr. HR Officer in managing the Human Resources functions, including but not limited to, day-to-day operations of the Human Resource office, jobs announcements, recruitment, recording staff leaves, ensuring that staff files are organized and completed.
  • Assist in office management duties, ensuring that program facilities are in proper working order, office supplies are stocked, and coordinating office repairs when needed.
  • Maintain a functional and efficient system for assigning of drivers, scheduling trips and maintaining vehicles.
  • Develop and maintain records of staff daily whereabouts, as well as vendors and contact information for external parties.
  • Supports the Sr. HR Officer and Finance Manager in the procurement process, ensuring all Creative and USAID guidelines are strictly followed with appropriate documentation.
  • Update, manage and track the list of inventory and ensure that all physical items are properly labeled and accounted for.
  • Coordinate oversees travel arrangements and hotel reservation for visitors/STTAs traveling to the field.
  • Other tasks of operations, HR and administrative nature, as maybe assigned by supervisor.
  • Update database to track key information.
  • Handles all email, mail and phone general inquiries and requests for information and materials.
  • Collects departmental updates for monthly organization report.
  • Retrieves, logs and sorts resume inquiries via personnel email, mail and phone.
  • Maintain employee telephone lists, and floor map.
  • Assists with ordering supplies and copy room inventory, as needed.
  • Assists with trip expense reports, photocopying, ordering books and materials as needed.
  • Assist staff with mailing projects and provide support assistance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Title: Finance Officer

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparation of budgets, monitor, review, and revise as required.
  • Coordinate with the Grants Department to reconcile finance record of grants.
  • Initiate and follow through on information gathering and documents needed with the Government of Ghana, Headquarters, and relevant ministries on renewal of MOU, tax exemption, banking, leases, and other contracts.
  • Monitor compliance of grantees through field visits and financial report review provide training and orientation to new field staff. Bring potential non-compliance issues to the attention of the Finance Manager.
  • Oversee cash flow, adherence to Ghanaian tax and labor laws.
  • Prepare financial reports for Headquarters prior to submission to Finance Manager.
  • Implement procedures and forms for request and issue of funds for program needs.
  • Assist Finance Manager in forecasting and request cash transfers from HQ to ensure adequate supply of funds in-country.
  • Pay authorized bills to contractors, suppliers, and monthly payroll for employees.
  • Check petty cash vouchers, receipts, and replenish to established levels upon receipt of replenishment requests.
  • Produce segregated finance records at the request of the Finance Manager such as expenses for specific locations or grants.
  • Cooperate and assist in audit requirements.
  • Assist Finance Manager to produce Monthly Finance Reports according to HO procedures and submit by the mandated deadline.
  • Maintain grant financial records.
  • Oversee project procurement in accordance with contract and Creative requirements.
  • Assist in compiling and reviewing timesheets of the staff so that payroll is processed in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Assist with financial tracking of local sub-contractors and fixed price contracts as needed
  • Undertake other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma required, Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (finance, accounting, business, etc.) highly desired.
  • Must have 4 years of general work experience, and 2+ years of specific experience related to the position required.
  • Experience with USAID program finances and budgeting (preferred) or similar work for other donors/U.S. Government agencies.
  • Advanced knowledge of spoken and written English highly desired, Medium level required.
  • Proficiency in any of the languages spoken in northern Ghana desired.
  • Must be willing to work and be based in Northern Ghana.
  • Must have existing work authorization for Ghana.
