Job Description
Job Title: Destination Travel Planner.
The Destination Travel Planner will be part of a business unit responsible for packaging FIT and group tours, destination management requests, events and conference management services covering the West African sub-region events. He/She will report directly to Landtours Director for
Sales and Operations.
The Destination Travel Planner will be responsible for the following:
• Developing tour inneararies, costing and packaging in response to client’s request
• Handling all written and verbal correspondence with clients regarding the of their packages
• Speak with clients on the progress of their tour on a monthly basis to ensure swift confirmation and a solid working relationship
• Sign off on the final execution plan for delivering land and air services for business and leisure travelers
• Request deposits, send deposit receipt notices and confirmations to clients who have made final payments for their tour packages and services
• Coordinate with the corporate travel division to purchase air packages for group members traveling from every part of the world
• Execute contractual agreements between Landtours and clients
• Meet all groups on arrival, facilitate orientations and review of the final itinerary
• Sit on all committee responsible for designing new tour programs and enhancing old itineraries
• Prepare quarterly activity reports and analysis
Qualification Required & Experience
• Minimum of a Bachelors Degree from a recognized University
• Minimum of 3 years administrative work experience preferably in the travel industry
• Experience work in a bi-cultural environment/multinational company
• Excellent communication skills (oral, written and presentation)
• Computer literate (proficient in the use of MS Office suite)
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally on regular basis
Salary is negotiable and will also depend on the training and experience of candidate
