Job Title: Senior Mine Planning Engineer

Job Purpose

To design future mine layouts capable of achieving production and mine development objectives, taking into account the geological characteristics and structure of the mineral resource.

Main Duties

  • Develop and/or deliver elements of a strategic planning system, with guidance from Senior
  • Create and update development stope layout drawing using AutoCad on daily basis
  • Plan the medium-term mine plans, according to approved

  • Recommend ways to improve policies, processes, standards and practices to support

  • Track budgets and bring variances to the attention of Senior colleagues, while working within established budgeting systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering or its
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in mine operations with focus in mine
  • Must have working knowledge in Surpac and Mineshed modelling
  • Good computer skills in PowerPoint, Word, Excel
  • Certification in Mine
  • Must possess a valid Ghanaian driving and operating licences (C Class) and can drive
  • Flexible and willing to assist with varied tasks.

Job Title: In-House Counsel

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide accurate, relevant and timely advice on a variety of legal topics that relate to the business and affairs of Golden Star and its
  • Draft, review and negotiate various commercial contracts and
  • Draft and review other corporate and legal
  • Provide effective support on complex multijurisdictional corporate transactions (including M&A, public and private financings, internal restructurings).
  • Oversee the day-to-day administration of the companies of the Golden Star group (including assisting with board meetings and shareholder meetings) and assist in the development of systems and
  • Liaise with local managers, external advisers and offshore trust
  • Manage and maintain corporate policies and
  • Promote legal, compliance and risk management best practice throughout the
  • Develop an understanding of the business to provide effective support to the various functions.

KNOWLEDGE

  • 1-2 years PQE
  • Previous experience working with developing jurisdictions
  • Previous experience working on multijurisdictional corporate transactions (including M&A, equity and debt financings, project finance)

SKILLS

(Competencies and abilities required for position)

  • Fluency in French is desirable
  • Exposure to the extractive industries is an advantage but not a requirement

Job Title: Advisor, Sustainability Reporting

JOB PURPOSE

The Advisor, Sustainability Reporting will support the EVP, Head of Sustainability and team members to document and produce the company annual Corporate Responsibility Report and associated sustainability disclosures.

The incumbent will: support data collation, review and validation; draft report copy; undertake graphic artist liaison; undertake report and disclosure document reviews and improvements; and liaise with assurance providers.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Draft Corporate Responsibility Report copy as per company adopted disclosure standards and
  • Liaise with the Project Manager and report contributors for report
  • Undertake data and information collection, validation and performance
  • Liaise with assurance providers to attain required assurance and identify sustainability reporting continuous improvement.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLED REQUIREMENTS KNOWLEDGE

  • Undergraduate degree and post-graduate qualifications in sustainability, communications, investor relations or similar aligned
  • Proven track record in the production of annual sustainability or corporate responsibility reporting in the mining
  • Familiarity with the Global Reporting Initiative, UNGC, SDGs, SASB standards, World Gold Council Responsibility Gold Mining Principles and other industry performance
  • Membership in applicable discipline and/or sustainability networks or groups for personal advancement and professional
  • Knowledge of industry sustainability assurance processes and
  • Exposure to cross-cultural work.
