The Ministry of Railway Development of Ghana was created with the core responsibility to ensure and increase infrastructural growth and service delivery in Ghana’s transport sector to help ease pressure on the other means of transport.

IMPORTANT: Please as of the time of publication, the Ghana Railway Development  (GRD) 2025/2026 recruitment is yet to commence. This post is to guide interested applicants on the requirements and application process into the Ghana Railway Development. Once the recruitment process commences, this post will be updated.

We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

Job Title: Manager, Regulations and Licensing

Job Purpose

• To provide operational support for the effective performance of the health, safety, and environment functions of the authority

Main Duties/Responsibilities

• Supervises the collection of data for the formulation of health, safety, and environmental policies
• Collates data for the development of health and safety programs
• Implements health, safety, and environmental programs and activities
• Collates data for the development of systems to ensure compliance with applicable health, safety, and environment standards, policies, and regulations
• Participates in the conduct of health, safety and environment audits

Qualifications

• A minimum of a Master’s Degree from an accredited tertiary institution in Environmental and safety engineering or other relevant equivalent disciplines

• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited tertiary institution in, Railway / Civil / Mechanical Engineering or another relevant equivalent disciplines

• Must have a minimum of NEBOSH Diploma – level qualification
• A minimum of 1-year post-bachelor degree relevant work experience in a reputable organisation
• Must pass a selection interview conducted by the authority in collaboration with the Public Services CommissionLocation: Accra

Job Title: Senior Manager, Projects Development

Job Purpose

• To provide operational support for the efficient and effective performance of the standards specifications and compliance functions of the authority

Main Duties/Responsibilities

• Collates data for the formulation of policies
• Implements, monitors and evaluates the units programmes projects and activities
• Collates data for the establishment of a system to monitor and maintain projects and railway assets
• Collates data for the review of the maintenance schedule, as and when necessary in variance with the Railway Masters Plan

Qualifications

• A minimum of a Master’s degree from an accredited tertiary institution in railway, Civil / Mechanical / Electrical / Geodetic / Geomatics / Project Management or other relevant equivalent disciplines
• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited tertiary institution in Quantity Surveying and Construction Economics or other relevant equivalent disciplines
• Must be a certified member of the Ghana Institution of Engineering or equivalent professional body
• Must have completed national service
• A minimum of 4 years post bachelor’s degree relevant work experience in a reputable organization
• Must pass a selection interview conducted by the authority in collaboration with the Public Service Commission
