GES Postings 2017: How Colleges and the GES denied Newly Trained Teachers’ Postings.

The Ghana Education Service released the list of qualified newly trained teachers for the 2017/18 Basic Schools Academic Year.

The list which was published online has been embraced with a lot of anomalies ranging from errors in postings through to the lost of data of qualified newly trained teachers.

Students who failed in either of the subjects have not Been posted until they redeemed themselves.

Last year, the Ghana Education Service posted ‘failed’ trainees and placed on the rank of ‘Pupil Teachers’ until they passed all their papers.

This year ,such benefits did not follow postings of which EducationGhana.net gathers ,that it has been a political order from government to prevent the Payment of Salary Arrears.

Students who did not fail any of their papers were Also denied postings of which most of them couldn’t find their data on the system.

Investigations conducted by EducationGhana.net reveals that some Colleges of Education in the Country after taking monies from the trainees to confirm their WASSCE results did not submit the said confirmed results to the Ghana Education Service which had been the norm.

The affected Trained Teachers after approaching their College Authorities for  answers, were told to go and do the confirmation themselves after paying monies to their Colleges.

It is therefore unclear whether the Colleges of Education in the Country and the Ghana Education Service actually knew the pains and suffering they had caused innocent qualified newly trained teachers.

The Education Sector in recent times has been faced with several anomalies from the Education Ministry through to the Ghana Education Service and the Classrooms for teaching and learning.
