KNUST Announces Date for Second Semester Exams

Students at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology are expected to begin their end of second-semester examination on Wednesday, September 1, 2021,

This follows the suspension of the strike that was embarked on by the University Teachers Association of Ghana; and the suspension of the withdrawal of teaching and related activities by its members.

A release signed by the Deputy Registrar (Academic Affairs) of the University, Mrs. Margaret Dzisi on Monday, August 23, 2021, indicated that the examinations were expected to end on Friday, September 17, 2021.

Students are expected to observe Wednesday, August 25 – Tuesday, August 31, 2021, as revision week.

Students were also advised to visit their various departments for their individual timetables.

Management of KNUST earlier indefinitely suspended its end-of-semester exams till further notice.

This was because of the industrial action that was being embarked on by the Universities Teachers Association of Ghana.

A statement signed by the Deputy Registrar, Academic Affairs, Margeret Dzisi indicated that a new schedule will be revealed at the appropriate time.

“It is announced for the information of all students and staff, that due to the ongoing strike action by UTAG, the end of semester exams originally scheduled from Monday 9th August 2021 to Friday 20th August 2021 have been temporarily suspended till further notice. A new schedule will be revealed at the appropriate time.” parts of the statement read.
