The Station Manager ACC/DSS is primarily responsible for the overall administration, operation and safety/security of the station in conformance with TSA/FAA and local legislation as well as company policies, compliance and procedures. managing direct reports and business partners who handle the operation in the various areas at the airport. Is challenging all the performance metrics to meet objectives and goals, challenges survey metrics to meet expectations on customer perception. Performs a variety of general, administrative and training activities, these include but are not limited to supervising and motivating all acs personnel so they become productive members of the delta team. Interacts with other departments and divisions to ensure of focus on the operation. ensure employee awareness and enforcement of published company policies and procedures as they are related to ACS. Ensure compliance with local labor laws as it applies to personnel and the requirement to implement them. effectively interacts with and utilizes the services of numerous support departments in Delta’s regional department and the HDQ. Also interacts with local authorities related to international requirements. Develops operating plan for the station and identifies if capital plan needed. Review and approve all invoices related to the operation. Is involved with the Skyteam and Joint Venture partners, looks for ways to improve overall customer experience. All these functions are under the responsibility of the station manager and are not limited to those items expressed in this job summary.
Requirements
Four-year degree preferred in business management or a related field or have equivalent experience plus five years in a leadership position with direct reports and experience in dealing with business partners/vendors.
Working knowledge of Delta computer systems preferred, including Microsoft Office.
Must exhibit strong organizational skills and have the ability to set high standards of performance for self and others.
Possess the ability to guide the team to adhere to safety and security standards.
Should be willing to work long hours and travel as necessary.
Must be able to make quick, prudent decisions and identify, evaluate and refine functional results to improve the customer experience.
Must be able to interact effectively with internal personnel requiring constant interaction with various personalities and with all levels of management and non-management personnel. Must be performing satisfactorily in the present position.
Must already be in possession of all paperwork allowing him/her to work and reside in Ghana and English and French must be spoken, read, and written fluently.
