AUCC Admission Requirements

WASSCE
Applicants with WASSCE must obtain a minimum of six credit passes (C6) in six subjects (3 core and 3 elective subjects respectively).
SSSCE
A minimum aggregate score of 24. Applicants must obtain at least a D (4) in six subjects.
GCE ‘O’ and ‘A’ Levels
Applicants with ´O´ or ´A´ Levels must have Grade 6 or better in five (5) ´O´ level subjects including English, Math and a Science / Arts subject. In addition, they must have passes in 3 subjects, one of the passes should be Grade D or better at the ´A´ Levels.
International Students
International students with qualifications equivalent to those mentioned above (1-2) may be considered for admission. They must also show evidence of proficiency in English. This includes applicants holding Baccalaureate (IB), IGCSE, GCSE and other external qualifications which have equivalences to the SSSCE, WASSCE and GCE.
Mature Candidates
Must be Ghanaian nationals, 25 years or above and must pass a mature candidates qualifying examination and interview.
Other Qualifications
Holders of University of Ghana Diploma or its equivalent, with Final Grade Point Average (FGPA) of 3.25 or better, eligible to apply to the same area of study. Holders of Diplomas in other areas of study must have distinction.
Candidates in Possession of a Diploma
Applicants must have graduated with a good HND certificate (i.e at least 2nd Class Lower Division). In addition the applicants must have acquired a 2 year post – HND qualification working experience. AUCC follows University of Ghana’s practice with regard to entry levels for HND applicants. Other Diploma qualifications from elsewhere assessed to be equivalent to HND may be similarly considered.
How To Apply for AUCC Admissions
Applicants must do the following:
Purchase an AUCC Admissions voucher from any branch of Cal Bank in Ghana, or contact the AUCC Admissions Office on +233 0506 012 705 for assistance
- Cost of Admissions Voucher:
- Undergraduate Programs for Ghanaians – GHS 85.00.
- Undergraduate Programs for International Students – cedi equivalent of $80.
- Post-Graduate Programs – GHS 250.00
- Executive Education – GHS 50.00
- 2020 Certificate Courses – GHS 900.00
You will be given a voucher code slip which includes a url/website link (Click to Apply Online ) which will give you access to the AUCC admission form online to fill and submit with required attachments.
Required attachments:
For WASSCE applicants, the documents required are:
- WASSCE results (3 passes in Core subjects and 3 passes in elective subjects. The pass should be a minimum of C6).
- Two passport size photographs
For Matured applicants, the required documents are:
- A copy of Birth Certificate
- Two passport size photographs
- Any other certificate obtained (Not a requirement)
For Diploma/HND applicants, the required documents are:
- Transcript from previous education
- A copy of Diploma/HND certificate obtained
- Two passport size photographs
