The underground mining operation will be fully mechanized, designed to produce up to an average maximum of 5,000 t/day of ore mined.

ROLE PURPOSE AND CONTEXT

The purpose of the role is a mandatory requirement to enable safe implement mining strategies, and procedures to identify shortfalls in mine operations.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Ensure Workplace safety – Ensure strict adherence to the Mining Regulations and Company instructions in respect of safety, and security at all work places under the section to improve productivity
Improve productivity – Institute strategies to improve performance by instructing workers to meet general and specific work standards and report any variations
Sectional Auditing and Monitoring – Offer schedules in consultations with the sectional mine captain and institute monitor and auditing programs to eliminate threats of Mine flooding and inadvertent collapsing of major excavations
Material management – Ensure that all materials are well kept and their usage are well documented
