Job Description

Job Title: PROGRAMMES MANAGER, LOCAL CONTENT

Job Location

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Group Head, Programmes, the job holder will plan, acquire and manage local programmes for the company.Prepare programming and scheduling plans of all programmes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Screen all programmes (local content) that go on air to ensure they conform to the set standards and allocation of program time.
Ensure strict adherence to stipulated broadcasting durations and prompt timing of programmes to avoid slots overrun or under run.
Initiate all movie contracts and strategically contribute to the schedule of all movies.
Ensure quality control in the production process is maintained and the concept of each production goes according to the approved production plan.
Prepare thorough documentation and delivery of contract / agreement to licensors.
Make provision of censorship guidelines for editing references..
Prepare and write synopses of programmes

Requirements

A minimum of first degree from a recognized institution.
A minimum of four (4) years’ experience in a similar role.
Strong negotiation with good communication and report writing and contract drafting skills
