WASSCE Result 2019: Mathematics (Core) and English Language Statistics
Following the released of WASSCE result, the West African Examination Council (WAEC) has released the performance of school candidates in Mathematics (Core) and English Language in the just concluded WASSCE.
Mathematics (Core) recorded the most significant improvement in A1 to C6 over that of 2018 (38.33% to 65.31%). This represents an increase of 26.98% in the performance of candidates for the year 2019. Out of the total number of candidates who sat for the subject, 223,737 (65.31%) obtained A1-C6; 72,408 (21%) obtained D7-E8 while 46,384 (13.54%) had F9.
Also, English Language recorded a modest improvement of 46.91% to 48.96%. This therefore represents an increase of 2.05% in the performance of candidates for 2019. A total of 167,733 (48.96%) candidates obtained A1-C6; 100,781 (29.42%) obtained D7-E8while 74,038 (21.61%) had F9 in English Language. The provisional results indicate that there were improvements in the performance of candidates in the range of A1 to C6 in both Mathematics (core) and English Language.
