Currently, Voltic (GH) Limited has expanded its portfolio to cover alcoholic beverages, carbonated soft drinks, Juices and Value-Added Dairies. This role reports to the Unit Manager, Packaging in the Manufacturing Function. The job incumbent will be responsible for leading the SBU in the execution of the production plan, ensuring that product meets all quality specifications, asset care through autonomous maintenance tasks and the resolution of production problems.

Job Details

• Co-ordinate and manage calibration program. • Monitored SPC programme. • Managed pest control programme. • Implement and maintain SHEQ systems within the lab environment • Initiate non-conforming reports. • Co-ordinate corrective actions. • Facilitate the inspection of all incoming materials and make sure that no defective material is unloaded. • Communicate all out-of-spec material issues to relevant parties. • Review and sign off report of process quality • Make sure that testing procedure of process line report is properly followed. • Samples of products are tested according to both internal and external requirements and results are traceable • Ensure trends are analyzed for non-conforming products. • Initiate root cause analyses process • Managed & Developed staff • Manage compliance with applicable health, safety, environmental and housekeeping policies and procedures, and legislation, to eliminate unsafe, unhealthy and environmentally damaging conditions • Contribute to the management of Sustainable Development issues to achieve key sustainable development targets • Analyze trends to proactively identify and initiate problem solving to improve trade quality and related KPI’s • Initiate and facilitate continuous improvement • Initiate and facilitate problem solving • . Establish KORE requirements and customer needs to develop a business-focused quality system in the lab • Audit application of the system to identify gaps and areas for improvement, and implement appropriate corrective action • Manage ingredients and packaging quality • Engage with Internal Customers to Develop Partnerships and Capability • Provide input to overall goals in the SHEQ department as well as developing specific goals and objectives in terms of quality standards to be achieved in the lab • Apply knowledge of Quality and Food Safety Management Systems • Apply organizational understanding to drive a Quality Culture • Understand the purpose and function of the manufacturing equipment and their effect on quality • Manage the lab environment • Ensure that the laboratory and production teams apply proper safety and housekeeping procedures, and adhere to all legal requirements when carrying out their tasks. • Ensure implementation of the appropriate CCBA and legislative policies (such as KORE requirements) with regards to Safety and Environment. • Ensure that Safety and Environment receive appropriate focus through regular checks and safety audits. • Responsible for correcting where unsafe work practices have been identified.
