UPSA Hostel Booking Procedures | How to Book UPSA Bed Space
The University of Professional Studies, UPSA Hostel Booking Procedures for fresh students. How to book UPSA bed space for a fresh or returning student who is interested in applying to reside in the UPSA Hostel.
The management of the University of Professional Studies Accra (UPSA) has released the hostel booking procedure for interested students who wish to reside in the UPSA Hostel. Interested students should see the UPSA hostel application guidelines and take note of the following.

UPSA Hostel Application Procedures
1. Booking and payment for the Hostels are for a Semester Stay.
2. Hostels A, B and Amon Kotei will be opened for booking from Wednesday, 24th July, 2024 at 10am.
3. Reversal to online hostel fee payment. The new fee payment platform, UPSA Fees Information System (ufis) will be used for payments henceforth. Refer to item 1.6 for more information.
4. Payment deadline for levels 300 and 400 is Friday, 23rd August, 2024 and for the level 200s is Friday, 6th September, 2024 after which the beds of students who have booked but not paid will be taken and given to other students.
5. Check-in and Registration information are as follows:
a) Level 300 & 400 degree students – Sunday, 1st September, 2024 at 2:00pm. Deadline for check-in and registration at the Hostels is Friday, 13th September, 2024. Any student who fails to register by the stated deadline forfeits his /her bed.
b) Level 200 diploma and degree students – Saturday, 28th September, 2024 at 10:00am. Deadline for check-in and registration at the Hostels is Friday, 4th October, 2024. Any student who fails to register by the stated deadline forfeits his her bed.
N.B.:
1. PLEASE DO NOT BOOK IF YOU ARE NOT INTERESTED IN RESIDING AT THE HOSTELS. You will be billed automatically when you book and you will be required to pay the amount.
2. The Levels 200 diploma and degree students, 300 and 400 degree students referred to in this notice are the current level 100 degree and diploma students, 200 and 300 degree students respectively.
1. PROCESSES FOR REGISTRATION, VERIFICATION, LOGIN & PAYMENT
1.1 Registration
a. All students are required to register on the Hostel Management System platform.
b. Students are to ensure they are registered on the USIS platform before attempting to register.
c. Students’ emails and phone numbers should be active and accessible, as login and verification credentials will be sent through emails.
Registration process
• Open the Hostel Portal from https://upsahostels.com
• Click on ‘Hostel Registration’ to open the registration form.
• Enter your UPSA Student ID, email and phone number
• Click on Register to process the registration.
1.2 VERIFICATION OF DETAILS
a. This ensures students’ details are correct and accessible to the student.
b. If the Student ID entered on the registration form is correct and active, the student should receive a ‘One Time PIN’ (O.T.P.) via SMS.
c. Enter Student ID on the verification form at their respective fields.
d. Click “Validate” to complete the registration.
e. If the OTP is correct, you will receive your password through SMS.
1.3 LOGIN
a. The UPSA Hostel Application can be accessed at https://upsahostels.com
b. Enter your username (i.e. your student ID) and password, which was created during the initial registration.
c. Clicking the Sign-In button will send you to your student Portal. Continue by following the steps to reserve a bed.
1.4 RESETTING PASSWORD
a. On the Log In screen, click on “I Forgot My Password”.
b. Enter your email in the text box provided. Note that the email should be the email you provided during your registration.
c. The new password will be sent to the number you provided during registration via text message.
1.5 BOOKING PROCESS
a. Log-in to your portal, following the log-in process.
b. Select the Hostel of your choice (Note that the Hostels display the rooms available and their respective rates.)
c. Select the room, followed by the bed of your choice.
d. Read and accept the rules and regulations of the Hostels. Feel free to cancel your booking if you do not agree or accept the rules and regulations. e. View your bill and approve your bed reservation.
Note that:
• You will be billed automatically after booking.
• You will receive an SMS confirmation of your reservation.
• Beds will be reserved until Friday, 23rd August, 2024 for levels 300 and 400 and Friday, 6th September, 2024 for all level 200 students.
1.6 PAYING FOR YOUR RESERVATION
• You will receive an SMS with bill for both hostel fees and hall dues after successfully reserving a bed.
• You are expected to make full payment of your reservation into the UPSA Fees Account at any Access Bank branch.
• Login in to the UPSA Fees Information System (ufis).
• Input your student id as your user name. Your default password is your date of birth as captured on your student profile, kindly enter it in the format YYYY-MM-DD.
• After successfully logging in, ensure the wallet balance tallies with the amount you deposited.
• Go to the top left corner of the dashboard, click on the drop down menu (the 3 lines) select fees, select the hostel billing and pay.

3. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
1. PLEASE DO NOT BOOK IF YOU KNOW YOU ARE NOT INTERESTED IN RESIDING AT THE HOSTELS. You will be billed automatically when you book and you will be required to pay the amount.
2. Read the Rules and Regulations governing the Hostels on the University’s website (www.upsa.edu.gh) before applying.
3. Secure a bed (successfully book) before making any Hostel fee payment.
4. No student should pay the hostel fees to any staff or student leader. All payments should be made at the bank into the University’s account.
5. Monies paid are not refundable.
6. Your reserved bed will be taken from you if you fail to pay the Hostel fee by the payment deadline.
7. Impersonation will attract severe punishment.
8. Hostel Management reserves the right to re-assign a student to a different room when the need arises.
9. Beds 1 and 3 are down beds whiles Beds 2 and 4 are top beds.
10. The occupants of each room are responsible for purchasing prepaid electricity credit unto their respective meters.
