The United States Pharmacopeia is a pharmacopeia for the United States published annually by the United States Pharmacopeial Convention, a nonprofit organization that owns the trademark and also owns the copyright on the pharmacopeia itself.
We are recruiting to fill the position below;
Job Title: Front Desk Officer
Summary of the Position:
The Front Desk Officer will help with receptionist tasks such as receiving phone calls, and greeting USP-Ghana guests and also take on clerical tasks such as receiving packages and keeping an inventory of office supplies.
Roles/Responsibilities:
- Greets and welcomes guests as they come and go.
- Must be professional and pleasant while interacting with guests.
- Handles queries and addresses complaints.
- Receives phone calls and redirects them to the appropriate line.
- Takes messages and passes them on to the receiver.
- Receives packages, deliveries, and letters.
- Keeps an inventory of office supplies and ensures it is always stocked.
- Maintains a filing system of all required documents.
- Maintains a visitors log book.
- Provides support to the Operation and finance team.
- Assists with Procurements
- Manages data entry into the Data Management System of the USP Ghana lab
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills/Experience
- A bachelors degree
- 2 years prior experience in customer service as a receptionist, front desk representative, or relevant position.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Must know how to use office machinery like a printer, fax machine, etc.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Office)
- Excellent communication, written, and people skills.
- Good multitasking, time management, and organizational skills.
- Problem-solving ability with analytical skills.
- Customer-oriented and professional attitude.
