Following the nationwide industrial strike embarked upon by the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG), the Management of the University of Ghana (UG) has suspended the conduct of the end of the second-semester examinations for the 2020/2021 academic year.

According to the statement copied to ghstudents.com, the Business and Executive Committee of the University of Ghana said the postponement of the final examination was agreed upon at a meeting held on Friday, August 6, 2021

“We have decided to postpone the forthcoming level 100 and 400-second semester examination 2020/2021 academic year examination due to the ongoing strike actions,” the Accra-based public university Executive Committee stated.

However, the university campus remains open for now and academic activities will resume when services are restored.

UTAG has been on strike since August 2, 2021.

The Association wants the 2012 conditions of service to peg the Basic plus Market Premium of a lecturer at $2,084.42.
