UG Graduation Notice on Collection of Certificates or Academic Gowns

The University of Ghana (UG) Legon graduation notice on collection of certificates or academic gowns to all first degree and diploma graduates.

Following the completion of the graduation ceremonies for the 2019/2020 academic year, all first Degree and Diploma graduates must note that their Certificates or Academic Gowns will be issued from their respective Colleges from the 14th of December 2020.

Graduates who choose to pick up gowns for photo opportunities are to note that they have up to 2 days to return the gowns before they can pick up their certificates.

Graduates are to follow the steps below: (Graduates who did not register for Congregation must make payment of GHC 250.00 as directed online, before proceeding with these steps.)

STEP ONE
Follow online guidelines (https://sts.ug.edu.gh/services) to book a convenient pick-up date at your College. (Please note that there is a cap on available slots for each day).

STEP TWO
1. Proceed to the Collection Point at your College on your assigned date for service.
2. Kindly bring along proof of payment of the congregation fee as well as a valid UG/National ID.
3. Please co-operate with UG Officials and follow all directives and safety protocols.

STEP THREE
1. Sign for and pick up your certificate (if you did not opt for a gown online) OR
2. Pick up an Academic Gown (please verify that you receive a complete set of Gown, Hood and Cap before leaving the Collection Point.

STEP FOUR
(Applicable only to those who pick up gowns)

Return the gown within 2 days after pick up and collect your certificate.

Please note that failure to do this within the stipulated time will attract a penalty.

All graduates are entreated to comply with these directives to ensure the safety of all stakeholders.  The cooperation of all stakeholders is kindly solicited.
