The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) Medical Examinations Date and Schedule for Fresh Students for the 2020/2021 academic year has been released.
The management of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has released the 2nd phase medical examination schedule for fresh regular students for the 2020/2021 academic year.
UEW Medical Examinations Date for Fresh Students
All fresh students on the regular programmes who were unable to report or reported but failed to complete the medical examinations are being given a final chance to be medically examined.
The mop-up medical examinations are scheduled as follows:
Date: 7th June – 19th July, 2021
Time: 7:30 am – 4:00 pm
Venue: University Clinic
Fresh students who fail to report or complete their medical examinations within the mop-up period would not only forfeit their ID Cards but also have their names submitted to the Registrar for the appropriate sanctions.
Stduents are to note that the medical examinations are mandatory for all fresh students to be accepted as junior members of the University. Fresh students who fail to report or complete their medical examinations within the period would:
- forfeit their Student Identification Cards.
- pay a fee in the ensuing years for the medical examinations to be redone.
- not be cleared in the final year for graduation.
The medical examinations involve the following:
- Laboratory Investigations (taking of samples end at 11.00 am)
- Ear screening
- Vital signs check
- Taking of Chest X-ray radiograph (GHS 30.00 cash and carry)
- Eye screening
- Clinical assessment
It has to be noted that fresh students would be accepted as junior members of the University and issued with student’s identification card ONLY UPON the completion of medical examinations and having been declared medically fit to pursue the programme of study.
