UENR Nursing Access Admission Form 2024/2025
The University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) nursing access programme admission for the 2024/2025 academic year is out.
The Access course in the Department of Nursing is a programme designed for certificate holders in any of the following: Nurse-Assistant Clinical (NAC)/ Health Assistant Clinical (HAC); Nurse-Assistant Preventive (NAP)/ Community Health Nurse (CHN); and post NAC/HAC; NAP/CHN Midwifery from training institutions accredited by Nursing and Midwifery Council, Ghana to offer a 3-year degree programme. Prospective applicants must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana with Auxiliary Identification Number (AIN) and be in good standing.

Mode of Delivery of the Access Course
The access course will be delivered in a blended mode (face-to-face and online) on weekends only for ten (10) consecutive weeks. The first eight (8) weeks will be devoted for lectures and the last two (2) weeks for examination
The lecture begins on Saturday, May 11, 2024 and end on Sunday, June, 30,2024. Examinations would begin on Saturday, July 06, 2024 and end on Sunday, July 14, 2024.
 Students’ Assessment/Evaluation
Class tests, quizzes, assignments and class participation will constitute 40% of the total assessment score. The final examination will constitute 60% of the total score.
Cost of Application
An applicant looking for admission into the Access Programme would purchase an admission form at the cost of GH₵200.00 from the University Finance Office.
Admission into the BSc. Nursing Programme
At the end of the access course, students who obtain the minimum pass mark of 50%(equivalent to C6 or better in accordance with WAEC Grade Definition in Percentage)Â will be admitted into level 200 of the BSc Nursing Programme
Location
The Programme will be run at the University of Energy and Natural Resources, Sunyani campus, Specifically, the University’s Basic School.
