Responsibilities:

The Driver will report to the PATH Finance and Administrative Officer (PADM) for the AA Non-Communicable Diseases and will focus his/her efforts on driving staff that are working to advancing the PATH’s NCD Strategy and delivering quality, efficient and optimized new opportunities. Specific duties are:

  • Provide daily driving and administrative support to the AA NCD project staff as required. The project is based in the Accra but will be implemented across country, travels to the regions and districts, may be required.
  • Drive staff, project counterparts and consultants to workshops, meetings, and various events, as necessary.
  • Perform routine or schedule maintenance services and ensure that project vehicles are clean and in proper working order.
  • Adhere to vehicle regulations and licenses and make recommendations to the Project Administrator for necessary actions.
  • Ensure vehicle has adequate fuel and lubricants at all times.
  • Maintain a Driver’s Log Book and document vehicle movements.
  • Carry out general office duties as required by the line manager.

Requirements

  • Ability to speak and write English clearly.
  • Valid driver’s license and impeccable driving record.
  • At least Five (5) years of driving experience, preferably for an international organization.
  • Experience working with other health partners in a culturally competent manner.
  • Must have extensive knowledge of the country.
  • Must possess ability to multi-task, work independently and consistently with the capacity to handle other relevant tasks.
  • Maintain a friendly and courteous image to all persons and situations.
  • Must be flexible to change.

Applicants considered for this position are to be Ghana nationals. This position is based in Accra. Candidates outside of Accra will be responsible for their relocation to Accra.
