Nestlé Ghana Limited started the business in Ghana in 1957 under the trading name of Nestlé Products (Gh) Limited with the importation of Nestlé products such as milk and chocolates. In 1968, it was incorporated as Food Specialties (Gh) Limited to manufacture and market locally well known Nestlé brands. The company became Nestlé Ghana Limited in 1987. In 1971 the production of the IDEAL Milk and MILO started at the Tema Factory. The factory has since been further developed and now also produces CARNATION milks, CHOCOLIM, CHOCOMILO CEREVITA, CERELAC and NESCAFÉ 3 in 1. These products are not only produced for Ghana but also exported across West Africa. In 2003, Nestlé Ghana Ltd invested in a new warehouse, the Central Distribution Center, located next to the factory in Tema. The company also runs sales offices with warehouses in Kumasi, Takoradi, Koforidua, and Tamale. The business activity of Nestlé Ghana Ltd is a direct contribution to the Ghanaian economy. Duties

  • Co-ordinate the period-end closing process between Group Head Office, Operating companies and shared service centers to ensure timely and first time right reporting in accordance with Group and local requirements.
  • Analyze and validate Financial Statements (Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement, Income Statement) and ensure accurate and timely consolidation at Regional level to ensure transparency to both local management and the Group.
  • Review and analyze Overhead and IT expense actual reports (MOGE & GLOBE) and ensure the drivers used to allocate the costs are as per the Group standard.
  • Validate Working Capital and Management Summary Table reporting.
  • Validate and coordinate resolution of Intragroup Reconciliations (CIG) in line with reporting guidelines.
  • Review and validate Pension Fund reports (CEBE) in line with reporting guidelines.
  • Ensure timely communication of targeted information to the relevant parties following the period-end closing process
  • Act as a central contact point and conduit between the Operating Companies and the Centre for all reporting, period end closing  consolidation questions/issues

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of prior Experience in Accounting / Finance
  • Proficiency in the English
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
