Job Summary
• Develop key performance indicators for the Operations area and ensures that they are monitored and acted on. To fulfil MODEC Operations goals and targets and that of the client
• Provide practical support and FPSO safety guidance for FMS / OMF and MIMMS & CAPAs / EMEX actions assigned to management areas of the business
• Act as and cover for as required, OIM / FM (Offshore installation manager / facility manager and at times operations lead via handover of authority as required / delegated. Working 4/4 offshore Rota if necessary. Deputize for O&M Managers when necessary
• Ensure that the operations policy is managed in accordance with the client’s business plan and to ensure the continued development of an operations plans appropriate to the facilities
• Support the O&M Manager in the management of operational and maintenance budget, prepare cost estimates as required, control of costs and oversee the operation of the purchasing system
• Contribute to a positive working environment with a continued commitment to safety & assist the O&M Manager to drive the implementation of the business strategy, localization strategy and plan activities to achieve agreed targets to these standards and for HSEQ adherence and development of FPSO operations culture, reporting back directly to the Operations Lead / O&M Managers
• Oversee Operations staff in the department ensuring that they are set measurable targets and objectives
• Support operational personnel competencies, operational systems and procedures and identifying improvements in all areas
• Manage the T&C Department on & onshore (coordinators) to ensure adherence to company and client KPIs and adherence to the company localization plan for offshore crew. Emphasis on localization and ensuring daily compliance of competency and associated statistics
• Co-ordinate the training and competency team to ensure that company objectives are met and adequately reported for all onshore and offshore positions.
Requirements/Experience
• Degree in Petroleum Engineering / Diploma in Mechanical, Marine or production engineering or related field or formal technical qualification preferred
• +20 years experience in the offshore oil industry, 10 years of which must have been in a senior supervisory position in the operation and maintenance of process plant, together with qualification required to serve as OIM or Production superintendent
• Strong personal and interpersonal skills, culturally aware with experience of working with a multicultural workforce. Overseas experience essential
• +10 years industry experience in a supervisory operations discipline role in the oil and gas industry, including at a refinery or offshore facility. Relevant operating experience on FPSO operations process / marine maintenance and class requirements and for the safe and efficient operation of plant and machinery permanently installed on the FPSO and surveys requirements for certification and class
• Experienced with safety management systems and certified on management of major emergencies & OIM controlling emergency qualifications
• Proven capability and experience as superintendent / head of departments in an offshore role
• Basic offshore safety induction and emergency training
