QA Lead is the representative of the project / Operation and has the responsibility for the implementation and maintenance of the quality management system.
Role
- Responsible for the coordination and inspection of all procured items for the FPSO or Operations as outlined in “Key activities/responsibilities below
- Ensures the quality of the site installations is consistent with the company’s policy requirements together with national and international standards and the customer’s specifications.
- Responsible for overseeing/planning the training and education of all Procurement/materials and logistics personnel in these processes.
- Responsible for the preparation of the Company’s QA manual with control and supervision of all amendments and revisions; Review and implementation of QA/QC procedures, and implementing new/improved procedures.
- Control the distribution of all the companies’ quality documentation.
- Monitor all quality related activities for MPSG.
- Perform all internal and external audits on behalf of the company’s management.
- Verify contractor quality requirements are specified to vendors and contractor documentation submittals.
- Attend all pre-bid meetings and coordinate all project requirements with the project bidders.
- Attend client quality management meetings
- Responsible for the preparation and control of Operations quality system management documentation
- Review quality inspection personnel qualifications and training requirements.
- Monitor the disposition of all issued nonconformance reports.
- Monitor the progress and effectiveness of the operations quality management system. Recommend and implement improvements when required.
- Coordinate all QA/QC activities with the Supply Chain Manager and Materials & Logistics Manager as appropriate.
- Coordinate all quality related correspondence with the customer’s representatives.
- Monitor statistical method reporting.
- Action and close all client / customer complaints.
- Proactively perform ad-hoc visits to Fabrication yards to ensure customer clients relation ship and QAQC standards are maintained.
- Review purchase orders to ensure that the applicable requirements/standards are met prior to delivering Offshore.
- Ensure Compliance / Certification to Statutory requirements, Standards and Operations Specifications.
- Responsible for the coordination and resolution of any nonconforming product Reviewing vendors QA/QC systems in accordance with contractual requirements.
- Coordinate vendor quality approvals when required.
- Ensure the verification of documentation and certificates for materials purchased by vendors.
- Review of suppler quality plans against contract requirements.
- Review supplier inspection procedures and personnel qualifications.
- Review supplier material certificates.
- Take part in supplier audit and surveillances.
- Coordinate with the Company’s discipline engineers for the resolution of technical discrepancies.
- Coordinate with management for quality improvements.
- Issue and track all nonconformance reports.
- Coordinate with the MPSG’s representative on all procurement issues with regards to QAQC.
- Ensure the quality records, acceptance certificates, mechanical completion certificates and the documentation for specific systems and buildings/areas are prepared and collated in accordance with MPSG projects requirements
- Responsible for the training / mentoring and education of all staff in all QA/QC activities with the Operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in a relevant engineering discipline (preferably Mechanical Engineering.
- CSWIP 3.1 certificate holder
- Current OPITO accredited TBOSIET Training qualifications are required for offshore travel to the FPSO facility.
- +7 years’ experience in quality inspection for Piping and Electrical.
- Able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of the International standards applicable to the oil & gas industry.
- Knowledge on maintenance management and procurement modules for CMMS software system (Maximo/ AMOS).
- Computer literacy in office packages, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
