The Youth Harvest Foundation Ghana is a non-partisan, non-religious and non-governmental charitable organization headquartered in Bolgatanga in the Upper East region of Ghana. The Foundation was founded in November 2002 by a group of young people, led by John Krugu, who could no longer accept the challenging situation of the youth in the north of Ghana. The Foundation works to attract young people that are passionate about exploring ideas and implementing solutions to the current problems confronting northern Ghana’s youth. It maintains a limited core staff that is supported by Ghanaian and international volunteers to deliver its programs and projects.

YHFG is one of the recognized Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) in the area of SRHR in Ghana to be invited to participate in the Re-launch of Prof. Fred T. Sai Institute, a renowned SRHR Champion in Africa.

Job Description

Educational requirements

  • Relevant degree in administration, project management, rural development or equivalent;
  • Post-graduate education is an added advantage.

Work Experience

  • Proven experience in managing multidisciplinary teams;
  • Proven experience in managing relationships and activities with various public and private partners;
  • Proven experience in project coordination, ideally rural development projects or in relation to cooperative enterprises and farmer-based organizations;
  • Basic experience in accounting and procedure

  Skills & Qualities

  • Proficiency in spoken and written English;
  • Commitment to gender equality;
  • Ability to communicate;
  • Ability to work in a team;
  • Ability to analyze and summarize;
  • Ability to rally various stakeholders;
  • Ability to design and adapt capacity building programs and training tools;
  • Ability to mobilize to foster empowerment;
  • Proficiency in local languages (Gurune, Kusaal, Kasem) and French, an asset.
