To support the growth of the IDAS practice in West Africa, KPMG is looking to recruit an Associate Director, KPMG International Development Advisory Services.

Job Description

Job Title: Associate Director

Key roles and responsibilities

Reporting to the Partner responsible for International Development Advisory Services the duties for this position include but are not limited to the following:
Lead and develop business in KPMG IDAS in West Africa
Participate in the development of the firm’s strategy in IDAS and earn and maintain KPMG’s competitive edge in these areas
Build and maintain relationships in order to win significant work and client satisfaction and not only sustain your business case as a Director, but also expand it to that required of a Partner
Manage delivery of work in compliance with KPMG’s risk management and quality performance standards, and in particular lead and guide teams to ensure compliance.
Spearhead the people agenda by remaining up-to-date with the firm’s strategy, particularly in recruitment, performance management and CSI, and inspire our people to realize their potential and deliver value to the firm and our clients
Develop and maintain global networks both within the larger KPMG as well as externally that will enable you to continue to grow and bring new insights into the firm and to the work of IDAS and other global initiatives in KPMG

Maintain your personal case as a leader through exemplification of our values and leadership of your unit as confirmed by feedback mechanisms
(including 360° review among others).

Qualifications and experience

Master’s Degree or equivalent level qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level qualifications
Recognised professional qualification such as Accounting.
10 years significant experience of international development in Africa, especially West Africa, including a track record of leading/managing people and assignments.
Fluent in English with a very good working knowledge of French.

Well-developed problem solving abilities and strong analytical skills
Willingness to travel throughout Africa
Socially confident and able to create a strong presence with clients and the KPMG team, and generate business through relationship selling
Experience working in a complex, fast moving environment and dealing professionally with multiple stakeholders
Ability to build collaborative relationships with others inside and outside the organisation
