Role

To actively source and collate market and economic data aimed at deriving market insights for strategic decisions on focus, product development placement and organizational dynamics.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

·       Must be proficient in Microsoft Office

·       Knowledge of and experience in standard statistical testing

·       Experience with collating data from multiple data sources

·       Experience with analysing qualitative data an advantage

·       Experience with forecasting and predictive modelling an advantage

·       Willingness to learn some coding skills such as R, Python

·       Experience in building data visualisations and presenting to the business

·       At least 3 years work experience in a financial services, technology or other fast-paced environment in a relevant or similar industry

·       A minimum of a first degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration or a relevant discipline

·       Ability to work to tight deadlines and with minimal supervision

·       Strong analytical and problem solving skills

KEY RESULT AREAS

Data Analytics

·       Analyse and understand market dynamics

·       Work closely with business to identify market-related data sources

·       Developing plans and proposals for research and designing research projects

·       Conducting qualitative and quantitate surveys

·       Collating, analysing and interpreting market data

·       Running statistical tests on both qualitative & quantitative data to derive insights from market data

·       Making recommendations to business based on research findings

·       Liaising with Business Partners to develop forecasting and predictive models based on internal and market data to help the business make proactive decisions

·       Build visualizations and present case to business

Others

·       Perform other tasks geared towards the identification of potential market changes.
