Islamic University College, IUCG Admission Forms 2024/2025. IUCG Admission Form for the 2024/2025 academic year has been released.
The Islamic University College, Ghana (IUCG) invites applications from suitably qualified persons (of all religions and sects/denominations, all racial and ethnic origins) for admission to undergraduate programmes of the University College for 2024/2025 academic year. The Islamic University College, Ghana (IUCG) is accredited by National Accreditation Board (NAB) and affiliated to the University of Ghana, Legon/Accra.
LATEST UPDATE:Â As of the time of publication, the Islamic University College (IUCG) mature access form for the 2024/2025 academic year is not yet out. This post is intended to serve as a guide to prospective applicants.

WHO CAN APPLY
The Islamic University College is open to all persons irrespective of one’s religious affiliation, social status, ethnicity and/or nationality as far as they are qualified. Thus,Senior High School graduates and mature candidates who intend to acquire quality tertiary education are encouraged to enroll with the IUCG.
ACCREDITATION
The IUCG is duly accredited by the National Accreditation Board (NAB) as a degree awarding Institution.
AFFILIATION FOR CERTIFICATES:
The IUCG is affiliated to the University of Ghana, Legon and the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) for the award of degrees. Therefore, graduates of IUCG -depending on the programme pursued- are issued with degree certificates by either the University of Ghana, Legon or the University of Education, Winneba (UEW).

BACHELOR OF ARTS IN RELIGIOUS STUDIES
This 4-year degree programme aims at producing highly-educated graduates of religious studies who are capable of competing favorably in the job market with comparable graduates from other universities.
PROGRAMME OBJECTIVES:
The programme aims at:
- Enriching students with religious and social values of honesty, truthfulness, open-mindedness, dignity of labour, efficiency in performance of one’s duties, and service to community.
- Enhancing the general knowledge of Islam and appreciation of the different schools of thought in order to promote unity among Muslims in Ghana, Africa and the world at large.
- Training new crop of enlightened and dynamic leadership for the Muslim community in Ghana and Africa.
- Preparing students to be self-motivated, self-reliant and time-conscious in their workplace.

CAREER PROSPECT
With the type of training students of the Programme receive, its graduates are equipped with the necessary skills to be employed as teachers in both Junior and Senior High Schools,security personnel (police, military, CEPS, etc.), journalists, diplomats, counsellors and mediators etc.
BACHELOR OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION
The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) programme is a 4-year degree programme with four different but closely-related options i.e. Accounting, Banking and Finance, Marketing, and Human Resource Management.
PROGRAMMEÂ OBJECTIVES:
The programme puts emphasis on the analysis and interpretation of banking, investment and financial information of private-sector and public-sector businesses and organizations for wealth maximization.
The programme seeks to, among other things,
- Assist students to understand and analyze the conditions and opportunities in business environment for corporate and organizational growth in the present fast-moving hi-tech world.
- Enrich students with entrepreneurial skills that will let them to become self-reliant and self-sustaining.
- Produce graduate students who can apply relevant business administration principles and standards to private-sector and public-sector businesses or organizations, with special emphasis on small- and medium-scale enterprises.
- Enable students to apply analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve business issues in their future workplaces.
- Inculcate moral and ethical values in students for best and fair business practices.

CAREER PROSPECT
Students of this Programme can thus be found in corporate and public organizations as financial analysts, financial consultants, investment managers, marketing analysts, business analysts, etc. Some of the students of this programme strike out on their own as financial consultants, business consultants, marketing consultants, etc. helping small- and medium-scale enterprises to prepare business plans and to manage their business finances prudently.
BACHELOR OF ARTS IN COMMUNICATION STUDIES (BAC)
The bachelor of communication studies programme is a 4-year degree programme with three specialization i.e. Journalism, Advertising, and Public Relations.
PROGRAMME OBJECTIVES:
The programme, which defines and explains with adequate examples basic theories and concepts in Communication studies and practically demonstrate the various communication processes aims at:
- Enriching student with a deeper knowledge and skills in Communication and related disciplines
- Producing graduates who can apply creativity, critical thinking, innovative and problem-solving skills with the right temperament in managing the media environment in deprived and marginalized societies in Ghana
- Preparing students to apply and relate the theories and concepts of Communication to the demands of rural communities, Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies, the private and traditional sectors of Ghana, and the global setting
- Developing the virtues of tolerance and consensus building and be professionally and ethically upright in upholding the good name of the media business

CAREER PROSPECT
The programme is designed to offer the requisite training for students who intend to work in the various fields of the mass media and other areas of mass communications. Students of this option can thus be found in corporate and public organizations as public relations officers (PRO), communication directors, media managers, advertising analysts, etc. Students may also choose to become a freelance journalist or blogger.
BACHELOR OF EDUCATION (EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION)Â Â Â Â
The aim of the programme is to expose students to the spectrum of ECE in order to prepare them for career in schools, childcare centres, and non-governmental organisations (NGOs). This will enable the teacher trainee to be able to understand the concept of early childhood education which has positive effects on the ability of a developing child in all aspects of life. The implementation of the programme will help produce qualified Early Childhood Educators who will help in the education of children in the Early Childhood Centres in Ghana and beyond. This will ensure the improvement in professional delivery of early childhood services in schools as well as ensuring professional treatment of the children in these sensitive formative years.
PROGRAMME OBJECTIVES:
The objectives of the B.ED (EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION) programme are to prepare the professionals to, among other things:
- Promote interactive learning and encourage the child’s construction of knowledge
- Demonstrate an understanding of the early childhood profession and make commitment to professionalism
- Help children achieve social, emotional, linguistic, physical, and cognitive goals
- Encourage development of positive feelings and dispositions toward learning while leading to acquisition of knowledge and skills
- Lead to conceptual understanding by helping children construct their own understanding in meaningful contexts
- Encourage active learning and frequently allow children to make meaningful choices
- Foster children’s exploration and inquiry, rather than focusing on “right” answers or “right” ways to complete a task
- Promote the development of higher order abilities, such as thinking, reasoning, problem solving, and decision making

CAREER PROSPECT
Graduates from the programme can gain employment in the Ghana Education Service (GES) and other educational institutions as professional teachers. The programme also enhances and raises the professional capabilities of lecturers who are already employed in the universities as non-professional teachers.
PROGRAMMES TARGET AUDIENCE:
Senior High School graduates, holders of Higher National Diploma (HND) and other Diploma certificates and mature candidates who aimed at acquiring quality university education.

- From Regional Post Offices nationwide
- From the Administration Block of Islamic University College
- Downloading the University Undergraduate Application Form and the University Application Form Guidelines to guide you to fill the form.
- The Application Fee GH¢100.00 (for Ghanaians) or US$70.00 (for non-Ghanaians)
- Payment for the downloaded Application Form should be paid through any branch of Ghana Commercial Bank (See Mode of Payment
- Fill the Application Form. The completed Application Form must have attached to it:
- Copy of Payment Receipt (Pay-in-Slip) of the Application Fee
- All relevant certificates or examination slips (WASSCE/SSSCE, Cambridge GCE, WAEC GCE, etc), and diploma from diploma-awarding institutions in Ghana or elsewhere.
- And other documents stated in the “Attached Documents” section of the Application Form.
- The completed Application Form must be signed by the prospective student and delivered in person or by post (EMS or courier service) together with “All Documents” stated in above to the Academic Administration Department of IUCG at the following address:
