Responsibilities
• Create, manage an revise a detailed grant implementation plan with regards to multiple US government funded grants.
• Manage detailed implementation of grant-funded projects, including compliance with all grantor regulations,
• Organise and lead quarterly grant programme review meetings and presentations.
• Provide regular input, critical analysis, and feedback to the Director of and Partnerships, the Director of Justice Projects, the Country Director, and the
• Strategic Engagement Officer, as well as the regional programme management team on strategic and tactical considerations covering all of programme implementation.
• Work with programme leaders to develop and review appropriate implementation strategies.
• Facilitate maintenance and use of internal and external data and research to benefit the programme.
• Develop technical programme reports for grantors and external partners.
• Manage communication of all grant reporting processes, procedures, and updates (internal and external) in consultation with the Strategic Engagement Offcer.
• Ensure multi-disciplinary collaboration between IJM divisions and IJM implementing partners.
• Document and report information required for programme analysis, reearch, learning and M&E
Qualifications
• Master’s degree in international development, project management. human rights, public policy, public administration, or Mated field preferred (or additional experience).
• At least 6 years’ experience in successful project and programme management of complex development programmes, including grant acquisition and management
• Experience working effectively cross-culturally and across multiple time zones.
• A Programme Management Certification preferred.
• Experience managing grants funded by the US or UK government strongly preferred
Technical Competencies
• Strategic, analytical and critical thinking skills
• Planning, organizing and multi-tasking skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Superb written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to use tools for monitoring and evaluation and data analysis
• Organised and able to work in a dynamic environment
• Ability to work under pressure and strict deadlines.
