Job Details
Job Title: Earth Science Graduate Learner
Golder Associates is seeking one graduate learner in the field of Earth Sciences to join their Water Division in our Accra offices on a one year fixed term contract basis with the possibility of renewal.
Responsibilities of the role will include:
- Fieldwork and sampling of rock, core, soil, waste and water
- Field reports
- Data analyses
- Mentoring will be provided in all duties
The successful candidate will have a background in:
- Bachelors degree in Geology or equivalent (minimum)
- Fluent in scientific English
- MS Word, MS Excel (Advanced), MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook
- Valid Driver’s License (an advantage)
Core Competencies:
- Formal training in geology or soil science
- Field and laboratory observational and reporting skills
- Experience / training of project work in geochemistry, hydrogeology, pedology, waste or contaminated land an advantage
- Displays a ‘safety first’ focus.
- Employees actively raise safety issues to the attention of peers, contractors and visitors and assist in seeking resolution to the issues identified.
