Peki College of Education is a teaching education college in Peki. The college is located in Volta Zone. It is one of the about 40 public colleges of education in Ghana. The college participated in the DFID-funded T-TEL programme. As of May 2019, the college is affiliated with the University of Ghana.

we are recruiting to fill the following position below:

Job Title: Senior Business Development Manager

Job Description

• The Vice Principal shall assist the Principal in the overall management, administration, academic and disciplinary issues of the college in accordance with the colleges of Education Act 2012 (Act 847) and other regulatory provisions governing the colleges of Education and in relation to the oversight responsibility of the Governing council of the college
• Perform the functions assigned by the Principal of the college
• Act in the absence of the Principal of the college, among others

Qualification/Experience

The candidate must:

• Have good character and a high degree of personal integrity
• Be a distinguished master teacher and scholar in Teaching and learning
• Be at least a Principal Tutor in the College of Education
• Possess a research Master’s Degree
• Have at least 5 years relevant post-qualification experience in a senior management position with good knowledge and understanding of the challenges facing the colleges of Education in particular and tertiary Education in Ghana in general and be ready to propose measures to mitigate them
• Be able to complete at least one term of 3 years before attaining the compulsory retirement age of sixty 60 years

Job Title: College Librarian

Job Description

The College Librarian is responsible for the library, research, and information needs of the college community. He/She provides leadership in advancing the college’s teaching and mission through a clear vision of the library’s role, comprehensive strategic planning, and incorporation of emerging technology

The college librarian shall

• Serve as the professional and administrative head of the college library
• Draw up and monitor the implementation of the college library strategic plan
• Establish and maintain procedures, policies, and systems that made efficient library operation
• Plan, organize, coordinate and measure the work activities of all library personnel
• Collaborate with the relevant and appropriate institutional libraries and organizations within and outside the country to attract grants for library development and be exposed to international best practices and
• Be a member of the Academic Board

Qualification/Experience

The candidate must:

• Possess an MPHIL in library studies or information studies-related fields
• Have served as Deputy Librarian in a college of Education or comparable grade in a similar institution/organization for at least 4 years
• Be conversant with library records management software
• Be analytical, critical, informative and research-oriented
• Have a good character, leadership skills, and a high degree of professional integrity and
• Be able to complete at least one term of years before attaining the compulsory retirement age of 60 years
