GES Orders Directors to Allow Teachers Set Their Own Termly Examinations.

The Ghana Education Service has ordered with immediate effect,all Metropolitan, Municipal and District Education Directors to desist from conducting termly Examination and sell to Basic Schools in their directorates.

The order is expected to take effect from First term 2017/18 academic to allow class teachers conduct their own Examination.

The Headquarters of the Ghana Education Service described it as an unfortunate phenomenon for teachers to teach the Pupils only for the district to conduct the internal Examination for the Pupils.

The Education Service notified all directorates to desist from that act and to allow teachers assess their own Pupils.

The CEPME Examination is conducted to asses the Pupils in each basic school in the Metropolitan, Municipal and District Education directorates.

Teachers are being issued drafted scheme of works from the education offices as well as marking schemes to mark the Examination.

Teachers are thereby entreated by the Education Service to conduct their own internal Examinatios to assess their Pupils.
