I believe you visited this page because you want to know when the Electoral Commission will be recruiting. Well, concerning the 2020 general election, the Electoral Commission of Ghana will soon open applications for interested candidates to fill numerous positions.
The Electoral Commission of Ghana is the official body in Ghana responsible for all public elections. Made up of seven members, its independence is guaranteed by the 1992 Ghana constitution.[1] The current commission was established by the Electoral Commission Act (Act 451) of 1993.
Electoral Commission of Ghana Recruitment
The Electoral Commission of Ghana wishes to inform the General public that as part of its preparation for the conduct of the 2020 Presidential and Parliamentary elections, it is receiving applications from interested persons for the following positions:
- Registration Supervisor or Deputy Registration Supervisor.
- Exhibition Supervisor or Deputy Exhibition Supervisor.
- Returning Officer or Deputy Returning Officer.
- Key Trainer/ Technician.
- Registration Officer.
- Presiding Officer.
- Registration Assistant.
- Poling Assistant.
Alternatively, applicants should indicate the position they are applying for as well as the Region. District and constituency they wish to work in.
Duration Engagement
Successful applicants will be engaged in all three (3) major activities of the commission scheduled for 2020
- Voter Registration
- Exhibition of the voter register
- General Election
QUALIFICATIONS
In other to ensure that the EC hires temporary officials who can appreciate the Electoral regulators and processes and also perform their duties satisfactorily, the following minimum qualifications are outlined for the various categories of temporary staff:
- The minimum academic qualification for Registration Supervisor, Deputy Registration Supervisor, Exhibition Supervisor, Deputy Exhibition Supervisor, Returning Officer, Deputy Returning Officer, and hokey trainer/ technician should be first degree. A master’s degree will be an added advantage.
- The minimum academic qualifications for Registration Officer, Exhibition Officer, and Presiding Officer should be HND, Teacher Cert “A”, Diploma or its equivalent.
- The minimum academic qualification for Registration Assistant, Exhibition Assistant, and Poling Assistant should be SHS/WASSCE or its equivalent.
Besides the academic qualifications, applicants are expected to demonstrate the following technical and personal competencies.
Technical competence
- Experience in electoral work
- Appreciable level of literacy and numeracy skills
- Computer proficiency
- Quantitative and analytical skills.
Personal competencies
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Physical and mental alertness
- Firm and Fair character
- Ability to work under pressure,
- High level of honesty and integrity.
- A sense of dedication and loyalty to the cause of the Commission.
- Good team player.
- A sense of political neutrality.

In fact before God and Man the date of the registration is too short, Many Ghanaians are not having the Ghana Card and the Passport. EC boss this requirement for registration will disfranchise lot of Ghanaian from voting,Is not old voters register the EC used to declare President Nana Akuafo Addo a winner? The Current EC is a disgrace to Ghana. May God rise and scatter all evil doers against Ghana this is not politics . EC should not use this to create violence .

Some of you are just plain stupid. Some are asking stupid questions like:” when is the dead line”, “how do i apply online” how can i apply”…..Are you people for real? You cant read simple instructions, yet you want to work for the institution. Email addresses have been provided for every region and yes that’s how to apply using those emails..and the deadline is provided in the write up.
God gave y’all common sense, learn to use it. ALWAYS READ TO UNDERSTAND where ever you find yourself and stop making other peoples’ work difficult.
This is not the best way to address such issue,even though we are all given brain,but our IQs differ,learn how to approach people with difficulties in something ,sit back and revise your reasons ,thank you

I think that if online application will not be accepted then bribery and corruption will set in for persons who will be applied.
