Job Title: Project Engineer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project Engineer:

  • Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects.
  • Monitoring compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC, TQM six sigma policies, performance standards and specifications.
  • Interact daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements.
  • Forecast, resources and manage all the technical activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from inception to completion.
  • Undertaking technical and feasibility studies including site investigations
  • Using a range of computer software for developing detailed designs
  • Liaising with clients and a variety of professionals including architects and subcontractors
  • Compiling job specs and supervising tendering procedures
  • Resolving design and development problems
  • Preparing and implementing project plans.
  • Making sure the project complies with legal requirements, especially health and safety
  • Assessing the sustainability and environmental impact of projects
  • Ensuring projects run smoothly and structures are completed within budget and on time.
  • Project management duties (e.g. managing budgets, resources, and deadlines; acquiring and compiling quotes, etc.).

JOB SPECIFICATION

Education

  • BSc in Civil Engineering or relevant fields.

Experience

  • Proven work experience as a Project Engineer with over 8years of experience

Knowledge & Skills

  • Excellent knowledge of design and visualization software such as AutoCAD
  • Advanced MS Project and MS Office.
  • Familiarizing with regulations, best practices and performance standards.
  • Ability to work with multiple discipline projects.
  • Project management and supervision skills

Job Title: Chief Hydrographic Surveyor

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To conduct marine and topographic survey to requirement of contract and the job.
  • To conduct side scanning and be well versed in all modern marine and land survey equipment and techniques and under water detecting and imaging tools.
  • Well versed in modern survey software, the knowledge of latest version of HYPACK is desirab.
  • Specializing in precise positioning, data acquisition and processing, use specialized technical software and equipment including satellite and terrestrial positioning systems, sonars, single and multibeam echo sounders, laser scanners and LiDAR (light detection and ranging) equipped aircraft to provide data for the production of nautical charts and maps
  • Measure and map the underwater surfaces for a number of end uses which includes the production of charts for navigation, dam dredging, inland dredging, marine construction, sea defense, coastal protection, wreck and under water observations.
  • Be able to use technical software, global positioning systems, and sonar and echo sounders to provide data for the production of nautical charts and maps.
  • Use remotely operated and autonomous underwater vehicles to gather data as required.

  • provide accurate and reliable information for other disciplines such as navigation, dam dredging, inland dredging, marine construction and coastal protection.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Relevant Bachelor’s or equivalent degree
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience as chief hydrographic surveyor.
  • Experience in urban dredging, dam dredging, inland dredging, marine dredging, marine construction and coastal protection will be preferable.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Well-versed with wide range of Marine survey equipment, software, technology format
  • Well-versed in various technologies in plotting, charting, reporting, analyzing and interpreting the survey data.

Job Title: Health & Safety Manager

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, manage and implement the HSE strategies for dredging projects
  • Implements, maintains and responsible for continual improvement of DML IMS (Integrated Management System).
  • Responsible for ensuring the effective achievement of Project Health & Safety Objectives and subsequent KPI’s
  • Manage Health & Safety compliance (legal and client’s requirement) and implement industry best practices.
  • Responsible for the auditing of Health & Safety processes and operational projects
  • Responsible for the proactive HSE support during tender processes.
  • Responsible for the implementation of behavior based safety culture on the project
  • Responsible for the management of HSE process for subcontractors, suppliers and service providers.
  • Coach and develop project management team on HSE related matters and confirm project site fulfills industry best practices, national guidelines and regulations and implement risk controls on the project.
  • Guarantees that all work is performed in accordance with approved ISO manuals, internal policies and procedures, contract documents, and best engineering practices.
  • Provides technical support to project managers.
  • Participates in team meetings and provides regular on-site project presence.
  • Good verbal and written reporting skills.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Health & Safety, Engineering or related discipline.
  • NEBOSH International Diploma in Safety is an added advantage.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a Health and Safety Manager in preferably urban dredging, inland dredging, marine construction and Dams.
  • Have proven work experience both dredging projects and corporate managerial level.
  • Have strong background in Integrated management systems (set-up and implementation).
  • Have thorough knowledge of relevant Health & Safety standards (such as ISO 45001)
  • Must be a member of a recognized professional body such (IOSH, GHISEP, IIRSM)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for making sure operational projects are compliant with all environmental regulations in areas such as air quality, waste, clean water, and pollution.
  • Monitor trends of environmental parameters and implement programs and procedures to facilitate a safer working environment.
  • Contribute to the development of sustainability awareness strategy flexible enough to appeal to all activity lines.
  • Access, analyze and collate environmental performance data and reporting information to internal staff, clients and regulatory bodies when required.
  • Manage environmental strategy budgets
  • Provide environmental trainings to staff at all levels
  • Keep up to date with relevant changes in environmental legislations and initiatives as per ISO 14001 and EPA laws.

QUALIFICATIONs

Education

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or related discipline.
  • NEBOSH Environmental Management Certificate or IEMA Certificate is an added advantage
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as an Environmental Manager in preferably urban dredging, inland dredging, marine construction, Dams and Environmental Engineering/Management.
  • Have proven work experience both dredging projects and corporate managerial level as a sustainability specialist.
  • Have strong background in Integrated management systems (set-up and implementation).
  • Have thorough knowledge of relevant Environment standards (such as ISO 14001)
  • Must be a member of a recognized professional body (IEMA, GHISEP)
  • Must have worked in similar projects (Construction or dredging works in developing countries) as an Environmental and Sustainability Specialist.
  • Experience in project based management (non-hierarchical guiding and mentoring)

  • Must demonstrate passion for environment and sustainability
  • Must devise the best tools and systems to monitor project environmental performance and to implement strategies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills on top of strong interpersonal skills
