Job Title: Product Manager
Responsibilities
Credit Product Strategy & Execution
Own the vision for credit products
Drive the roadmap incorporating industry and customer research to create transformative product offerings
Be a customer advocate; ensure the voice of the borrower is central to new product development
Rally product creation colleagues to drive timely results developers, business analysts, architects, delivery managers, operations support, etc.
Spearhead Partnerships To Drive Innovation
Lead partnership discussions with banks, MFIs, NBFCs, etc.
Drive business development with relevant 3rd parties, negotiate key commercial and product terms and support legal on contracting
Build “trusted advisor” relationship with key stakeholders across the business
Offer strategic support on the credit strategy, negotiations and business case
Co-develop launch and go to market plans with JV product managers to drive uptake and engagement
Ensure engagement of compliance, engineering and other colleagues
Requirements >10 years of professional experience with at least 3 years of remittance experience at a bank or other relevant digital business
Strong knowledge of mobile money, financial services
Experience with emerging market consumers, and multicultural sensitivity
Analytical bent of mind, structured thinker with strong business acumen
Results-driven self-starter
Solid influencing and negotiation skills
Qualifications
Bachelors degree required, a Masters degree in a related field preferred
Contagious passion for, and commitment to driving mobile money growth and innovation
Willingness to travel frequently
NB : Contract for only 6 months
Job Title: In-market Project Lead
Guide the Markets and lead local project and technical resources. The role holder will also lead the activities to commercialise demand and work with the MPS Programme Managers as the principle communication hub to MPA Governance, Product and Engineering challenges in the Markets projects.Finally the role holder will agree with the Programme Manager and guide the Project Management Office on the projects overall priorities, programme demand, capacity management, planning and of local Market constraints, dependencies and priorities..
Key performance indicators
Project leadership and capacity to drive project choices and implement them (ambitious and competitive).
Ability to operate in a multinational environment to Executive Management level with good communication skills (one company & local roots).
Time to Market for MPS Products and Services.
Continued focus on Simplicity and Speed to reduce project transfer time.
Integrity and openness to build trust and be trusted across different cultures.
Requirements Mobile Payment Or Financial Services Experience
Service Operations Qualification ITIL
AML Qualification – ICA Certificate in Anti Money Laundering Awareness
Regulated industry experience
Programme Management Qualification and Experience MSP
Degree Qualification – Preferably STEM
Key Accountabilities
Delivery of end to end MPS products and services to assigned Markets
MPA Delivery leadership within assigned Markets to maintain high level of customer satisfaction
Project Executive activities for Service Integrators project activities in Markets
Establish and maintain strong relationships up to and including executive level in markets.
Directly support key market deployments, planning, approval and execution.
Management and resolution of local project issues, risks and dependencies with local Market teams.
Escalation management of critical issues to Market and MPA Programme Managers.
Local resource prioritisation and alignment with MAP Core roadmap.
Manage Vendor activities to ensure delivery within delegated assigned budgets.
Implement and maintain productive local Governance for assigned services.
