1. University of Alberta

International students can now apply to the University of Alberta without an application fee. This $100 CAD graduate application fee is waived for applicants only from the least developed countries.

To benefit from this waiver, your citizenship, mailing address AND your home address must be from one of these countries or you will be expected to pay the $100 CAD non-refundable application fee.

2. Royal Roads University

Royal Roads University is one of few universities in Canada that do not charge an application fee from international students. As an international undergraduate or postgraduate student, you won’t be charged a dime and your admission application will still be given due considerations.

3. University of Calgary

You can also apply to the University of Calgary without an application fee. However, this is only applicable to citizens of seven countries by U.S travel ban.

The University of Calgary will waive the admission application fee for undergraduate and graduate admission for citizens from the seven countries affected by the U.S. travel ban, to ensure students have every opportunity to pursue or complete their studies.

4. Quest University International

International students can apply to study at Quest University International with no application fee. However, you must apply online before the application deadline. They may charge a fee to accept applications coming after the application deadline.

Quest University is a privately funded institution located in Squamish, British Columbia. The school is small, only housing about 700 students yearly. They focus most of their specialities on the Liberal Arts and Sciences.

5. Fairleigh Dickinson University

Fairleigh Dickinson University does accept an application fee of $25 CAD. However, if you’re applying online, you don’t need to pay an application fee. This is the only method of application when the institution is willing to waive your application fee.

6. Mount Allison University

International students can also apply to study at Mount Allison University without an application fee. To benefit from the application fee waiver, you need to apply online. However, you need to pay $100 CAD as registration deposit after you’re admitted by the university.

7. Booth University College

Booth University College is one of the universities international students can apply to in Canada without an application fee. The University only ask students to pay a non-refundable fee of $500 CAD only after they’ve been admitted.

It is a good alternative to regular non-refundable application fees because you do not provide the payment at the moment of filling out the application form.

8. Redeemer University

Redeemer University usually charges an application fee of $40 CAD. However, an application fee is waived for both local and international students who apply before the deadline. If you want to be a beneficiary, then you need to apply on time.
