Universities in Canada that Accept WASSCE Results
Importantly, note that most of these universities will only accept this result when you provide your score of English Proficiency with TOEFL or IELTS for admission.
That being said, below is the list of Canada universities that accept WASSCE, WAEC, GCE, and SSCE results from applicants from West Africa.
Brandon University
West African students from Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Liberia, and the Gambia who wishes to study abroad with WAEC, GCE or NECO can apply for admission at Brandon University.
However, candidates must have a minimum of 5 subjects at C5 or better including English and Mathematics.

University of Manitoba
The University of Manitoba accepts WAEC/WASSCE results from students from Ghana and Nigeria.

University of Winnipeg
The University of Winnipeg offers admission to students who possess WAEC and WASSCE results as long as they meet the minimum requirements.
On the whole, students must possess 5 academic passes (including English) with an average of B (B3) before being offered admission into the university.
West African students will need to provide the following before being offered admission into the University of Winnipeg.
- copy of West African Senior School Certificate
- copy of WAEC scratch card for online verification with Card Serial Number and Pin Number.

University of Toronto
Students who possess WAEC/WASSCE result can apply to the University of Toronto. Candidates that are completing the West African Senior School Certificate Examination system are required to present:
- Grades of at least B2 in Math, Chemistry and Physics in the West African Examination Certificate level (WAEC)
- Proof of English Facility may be required*
Applicants completing WAEC exams will be required to provide their examination number, Access Card/Scratch Card serial number and PIN to access their results online.

Trent University
Trent University also offers admission to candidates with WASSCE results. Students will need to provide the transcript of marks for grades 10, 11 and 12 (senior secondary school). Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSSCE) issued by the West African Examination Council (WAEC). A minimum grade of B3 required.
