Before applying for a Brazil visa in Ghana, it is pertinent you know the cost of visa first. Not only that, but you also need to know Brazil visa requirements for Ghanaians and other important information.

  • Diplomatic and Official Visa: for foreign diplomats and government officials traveling to Brazil on official missions. They are issued free of charge.
  • Tourist Visa (GHS 480.00): travelers who visit Brazil as tourists or as participants in sports/artistic events, conferences and fairs.
  • Business Visa (GHS 480.00): for travelers who visit Brazil for business purposes.
  • Student Visa: for those who wish to complete their academic education in Brazil. (consult the visa application center for the cost of visa)

Certain types of visa can only be issued for those who reside legally in Ghana. If you are not a Ghanaian citizen, you must prove that you have resided in the country for at least twelve (12) months before the date of application.

Brazil Visa Processing Time

The consular agent will inform the estimated date when the passport(s) will be returned. The processing time for tourist and business visas is ten (10) working days minimum.

Longer waiting periods may apply if further information on the qualification of the applicants is deemed necessary. Other types of visa require specific processing times longer than 10 days. Third parties can collect the passports on behalf of the applicants if they are in possession of an authorization letter signed by the latter. There are no rush or emergency fees.
