When will the 2024 BECE placement results be released online? A lot of candidates who participated in the 2024 WAEC BECE examinations have asked when the BECE placement results will be coming out. This question is very particular for candidates who are awaiting placement in Senior High Schools (SHS).
Both private and school candidates are really inquisitive to know when the BECE placement results will be out. However, before a candidate can qualify for placement into the Senior High School in Ghana, he/she must meet some criteria.

BECEÂ Placement Selections and Qualification Process
For a candidate to qualify for selection and placement, the grades obtained in any of the four core subjects must not exceed grade five. The candidate’s minimum grade in any best two subjects should not exceed grade six. The candidate’s best two subjects should not be more than an aggregate of 30 if the two are added to the four core subjects.
A candidate is disqualified in the selection and placement if any of his/her core subjects exceeds six or any core subjects are canceled by WAEC due to examination malpractices or other reasons.
Since a greater number of junior high school (JHS) students sit for the BECE and could all qualify for their first-choice schools, the CSSPS uses raw scores of candidates for the selection process.
Also, qualified BECE candidates who were unable to obtain admission or deferred admission to SHS or technical institutions within the immediate past three years are also eligible for the selection and placement process alongside the current year candidates.
Non-Ghanaian candidates, Ghanaian candidates domiciled in foreign countries and seeking admission to Ghanaian schools, and children of Ghanaian citizens on foreign missions seeking admission to senior school or technical/vocational institutes in Ghana are also qualified for the selection process.

Private candidates are expected to go through the school selection process to be considered for placement in the 2024/2025 academic year.
When Will 2024 BECE Placement Result be Released?
The SHS school selection process will start on a date announced by the Ghana Education Service (GES). As such the 2024 school placement results will be released immediately after the release of the BECE result.
In past years, the BECE examination result is expected to be out after 45 days. Once the result is out, the Ghana Education Service (GES) will then commence the process of the Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS).
The placement will cover candidates, both school and private, who wrote the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in 2024, as well as other re-entrants.
How to Check Your BECE Placement Result 2024

Candidates who passed the examination can only check their placement results on the Computer School Selection and Placement Portal (www.cssps.gov.gh). Here, you can check the schools that you’ve been placed in.
Alternatively, candidates can check their placement by purchasing the CSSPS scratch card and texting the 10-digit code plus their index number to the shortcode 1060 on all mobile networks.
Once you have seen your result, print your placement form, and send them to your school of placement.
Candidates who have not been placed can proceed to the CSSPS self-placement portal.
