Contents

Job Title: Secondary School Vice Principal

Role

• The Vice Principal will join the Management Team in ensuring the delivery of high standards of academic and non-academic content to students, excellent administrative procedures, ample team supervision and high standards of customer service to our clients.
• The school runs an international curriculum from Preschool through to Secondary.
• The Vice Principal will take a leadership role in strengthening the quality of teaching and learning, bringing efficiency to the management of the school and raising the profile of the whole school.
• This is a vitally important role with genuine transformational potential.

The Applicant should:

• Be a practicing Christian whose morals and ethics are in keeping with the school’s Christian ethos and who is committed to maintaining and protecting it.
• Be highly motivated and driven and have an in-depth knowledge of excellence in education with a commitment to ensuring the highest quality of teaching and learning.
• Have the creativity and vision to inspire and lead change and ensure the achievement of the institution’s objectives.
• Be able to communicate proficiently in spoken and written English
• Have a good understanding of the Secondary British Curriculum. Experience of Cambridge Assessment International Education preferred.
• Be able to assess the pedagogical needs of students and staff, and suggest appropriate professional intervention where possible.
• Have an excellent understanding of, and experience in, curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Overall managerial responsibility for monitoring, evaluation and improvement of staff performance in respect of the teaching and learning environment in the Secondary department.
• Working in collaboration with other members of the Management Team and all relevant stakeholders, to ensure the highest possible standards of teaching and learning.
• To lead, supervise, and guide the work of the secondary school staff, in planning, teaching, assessment and evaluation of teaching and learning within a disciplined staff and student body.
• Ensuring that the learning, development, discipline and safety of students remain at the heart of all decisions.

Qualifications

• Applicants must have a good first degree as well as an advanced Degree in education, with not less than 10 years’ cumulative, progressively responsible experience at management level in an international educational institution of good repute.
• Strong digital literacy (ICT) skills required. Experience with virtual learning platforms preferred.
Advantageous Skills
• Experience in designing and implementing strong extra-curricular programmes in Entrepreneurial Leadership, Sports, etc

Location: Accra

Job Title: Administrative Manager

Role

• The Administrative Manager will be directly responsible to the Principal for supervising and overseeing the administration of all academic affairs and related matters in the school. In collaboration with the appropriate staff, s/he will facilitate the effective execution of admissions, parent, staff, and student liaison, liaising with related external bodies, efficient resource management, and adequate data management within an international school environment.

The Admin Manager should:

• Be a practicing Christian whose morals and ethics are in keeping with the school’s Christian ethos and who is committed to maintaining and protecting it.
• Have considerable strategic, interpersonal and collegial skills that will enable him/her to function within an international school environment.
• Have good business sense with a deep understanding and appreciation of the strategic and operational issues in top-level school management and administration.
• Have high-level analytical skills and demonstrable evidence of competence and leadership.
• Have good communication and people management skills.
• Be able to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.
• Have the ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Co-coordinating all administrative affairs of the secondary department and ensuring a high level of excellence with regard to the whole school’s administration on a daily basis.
• Ensuring the availability and prudent use of resources and logistics needed by administrative and teaching staff as well as students at all times.
• Work with Management and staff to ensure that students receive the highest possible standard of care, education and security.
• See to the adequate maintenance of the school equipment and furniture and liaising with appropriate persons for repairs and refurbishment whenever necessary.
• Ensuring the organization of co-curricular activities in the college section and ensuring that all members of staff play active roles in this important aspect of school life.
• Maintaining the Christian ethos of the school in teaching, conduct and expression.
• Liaising with all external stakeholders as and when required for the purpose of the smooth facilitation of all matters concerning the administration of the Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) programme.
• Ensuring the prescribed school enrolment procedures are followed efficiently and that new applicants are processed for admission into school and the boarding house accordingly.
• Collaborating with relevant staff to facilitate publicity, marketing and admissions activities in the school.
• Liaising with the Human Resource Department to develop and motivate staff so that they have the tools required to efficiently and effectively complete their responsibilities to the highest standards and within the timelines set.

Qualifications

• The Candidate must have a good first degree/advanced Degree in business administration with not less than 6 years’ cumulative, progressively responsible experience at the management level in an educational institution or other similar organization.

Job Title: Pre-School Interns

Role

• Contribute to child learning, growth, and advancement.
• Display a passion for developing preschool-age appropriate educational activities and practice.
• Maintain a positive mindset toward child learning and social-emotional development.
• Work efficiently within existing learning structures and believe in the capability of children to excel.
• Facilitate problem-solving.
• Serve as a role model to child learners.
• Invest in the students’ well-being, health, and safety.
• Demonstrate ability to learn and convey a variety of subject matters quickly.
• Manage small and large groups of students in a classroom environment and communicates effectively with students, including on potentially sensitive topics
• Adhere to school processes and protocols.

Qualification

• The Candidate must have a diploma or a good first degree in education with not less than 2 years’ cumulative, progressively responsible experience teaching or assist at the Pre-school level in an educational institution or other similar organization.

Requirements

• Knowledge of instructional methods appropriate for preschool-aged children
• Desire and ability to work with children with diverse backgrounds and levels of ability toward accomplishing their educational and developmental goals
• Familiarity with multiple toddler learning areas
