GENERAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
4 -YEAR PROGRAMME – LEVEL 100: MORNING AND EVENING SESSIONS
I. West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE)
Applicants with a minimum grade of C6 or better in three (3) core subjects i.e. English Language, Core Mathematics, Integrated Science as well as in any three (3) of the following elective subjects namely: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Elective Mathematics will be admitted to level 100 of the BTech Medical Laboratory Science Programme.
II. Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSSCE)
Applicants with a minimum grade of D or better in three (3) core subjects i.e. English Language, Core Mathematics, Integrated Science as well as in any three (3) of the following elective subjects namely: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Elective Mathematics will be admitted to Level 100 of the BTech Medical Laboratory Science Programme.
III. General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced Level
Applicants with passes in three (3) subjects (at least, one of the passes should be Grade D or better) in addition to having credit passes (Grade 6) in five GCE Ordinary Level subjects including English, Mathematics and a Science subject (for non-science students) and an Arts subject for Science students will be admitted to level 100 of the B.Tech Medical Laboratory Science Programme.
IV. Mature Applicant (Evening Session)
The mature applicant must
a. Be at least 25 years old by 30th September,
b. Show proof of age with birth certificate or any legitimate documentary proof of birth date which is at least 5 years old at the time of application;
c. Provide introductory letter from employer or show any other proof of employment in the health sector for 2 years or more;
d. Have post-secondary school training in laboratory science or allied health science.

TOP-UP APPLICANTS – LEVEL 200: EVENING SESSION
Higher National Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology
Applicants with the 3-year Higher National Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology (HND SLT) at least Second Class Lower from a recognized institution may be considered for admission to level 200 (Evening Session) of the BTech Medical Laboratory Science Programme afier passing an interview.
TOP-UP APPLICANTS – LEVEL 300: WEEKEND SESSION
Bachelor of Technology Science Laboratory Technology
Applicants with a Bachelor of Technology, Science Laboratory Technology with at least Second Class Lower from the Accra Technical University and other recognized institutions with working experience in the health sector, may be considered for admission to level 300 of the B.Tech Medical Laboratory Science programme afier passing an interview and bridging course examination.
Bachelor of Science Qualifications
Applicants with a 4-year Bachelor of Science in either Biological Science, Biochemistry, Applied Biology, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Human Biology, Laboratory Technology or other life sciences qualification at least Second Class Lower from a recognized institution with working experience in the health sector, may be considered for admission to level 300 of the B.Tech Medical Laboratory Science programme a†er passing an interview and bridging course examination.
Higher National Diploma / Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology
Applicants with a 3-year Higher National Diploma or Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) with at least Second Class Lower from a recognized institution accredited by the Allied Health Professions Council with working experience in the health sector, may be considered for admission to level 300 of the Tech Medical Laboratory Science Programme afier passing an interview and bridging course examination.
Higher National Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology
Applicants with a 3-year Higher National Diploma Certificate in Science Laboratory Technology (HND-SLT) with at least Second Class Lower from Accra Technical University and other recognized institutions with a minimum 2-year post-qualification working experience in the health sector, may be considered for admission to level 300 of the B.Tech Medical Laboratory Science programme afier passing an interview and bridging course examination.
Bachelor of Technology Science Laboratory Technology (Clinical Biochemistry Option)
Applicants with a Bachelor of Technology Science Laboratory Technology (Clinical Biochemistry Option) from Accra Technical University and other recognized institutions with a minimum 2-year working experience in the health sector may be considered for admission to level 300 of the BTech. Technician Applicants with CTC III certificate (old or new scheme).
Diploma Holders
Holders of KNUST Diploma in Civil Engineering with one-year relevant working experience will be offered unconditional admission into the programme.
Mature Candidates
The mature applicant must:
a. Be at least 25 years old by 30th September,
b. Show proof of age with birth certificate or any legitimate documentary proof of birth date which is at least 5 years old at the time of application;
c. In addition, applicants must pass the Mature Entrance Examinations to be conducted in English Language, Mathematics, General

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR BACHELOR OF TECHNOLOGY- CYBER SECURITY (4 – YEAR)
West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE)
Applicants with a minimum grade of C6 or better in three (3) core subjects i.e. English Language, Core Mathematics, and Integrated Science as well as in any three (3) of the following elective subjects namely: Elective Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. For non- science students, Grade C6 or better in Elective Mathematics and/or Elective ICT is required.
Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSSCE)
Applicants with a minimum grade of D or better in three (3) core subjects i.e. English Language, Core Mathematics, Integrated Science and Grade D or better in 3 elective subjects in General Science (Elective Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry). For non-science students, Grade D or better in elective mathematics and/or elective ICT is required.
General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced Level
Applicants with passes in three (3) subjects including Mathematics/Biology, Physics and Chemistry at least, one of the passes should be Grade D or better in addition to having credit passes (Grade 6) in five GCE Ordinary Level subjects including English, Mathematics and a Science subject.
ABCE
A minimum of three (3) passes one (1) of which should be grade D or better in Advanced Business Certificate Examination (ABCE) in Information Technology (WAEC) plus four (4) GBCE credit passes including English Language, Mathematics and Science.
Diploma
A two-year Diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology from a recognized higher institution.
Mature Candidates
The mature applicant must:
a. Be at least 25 years old by 30th September,
b. Show proof of age with birth certificate or any legitimate documentary proof of birth date which is at least 5 years old at the time of application;
c. In addition, applicants must pass the Mature Entrance Examinations to be conducted in English Language, Mathematics, General
d. Have reasonable education and work experience in the areas of Cyber Security, Computer Science, and Information Technology or any other relevant area.
e. Holders of Teachers’ Post-Secondary School Certificate (3 years) would be addition to having credit passes (Grade 6) in five GCE Ordinary Level subjects including English, Mathematics and a Science subject.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR BACHELOR OF TECHNOLOGY- INTERIOR DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY (4-YEAR)
West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE)
Applicants with a minimum grade of C6 or beer in three (3) core subjects i.e. English
Language, Core Mathematics, and Integrated Science as well as in any three (3)

GCE ‘A’ Level Applicants
Five (5) GCE ‘O” Level credits including English Language and Mathematics and a

DBS APPLICANTS
Applicants must have credit passes in DBS subjects

GHANA COMMERCIAL EXAMINATION (ABCE APPLICANTS)
Applicants must have three (3) credit passes in RSA III/ABCE. Two (2) of the passes must be D or beer.

Five (5) GBCE or Five (5) GCE ‘O’ LEVEL/SSSCE/WASSCE credits including English
Language and Mathematics and a Science Subject.
OTHER APPLICANTS

International applicants may be admitted on the basis of qualifications from their home countries for which equivalence shall be determined by the National Accreditation Board (NAB) of Ghana and submitted to the University. Evidence of proficiency in English Language will be required in the case of applicants from non-English speaking countries. International applicants are also requested to acquire Non-Citizen Ghana card as a pre-requisite for offer of admission. International applicants who fail to provide evidence of having acquired this card will not have their applications processed.

Applicants must pass three (3) subjects (English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science) in the NAPBTEX Access Course Programme, plus at least three (3) passes in the technical subjects.
D. TECHNICIAN APPLICANTS
Passes in Part I and Part II technical subjects or a pass in Ordinary Technician Diploma (OTD)
E. CERTIFICATE II APPLICANTS (TECHNICAL SCHOOL GRADUANDS)
Passes in SIX (6) relevant subjects comprising three (3) core subjects (English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science/Social Studies), plus three (3) passes in relevant subject areas.
F. DIPLOMA IN BUSINESS STUDIES (DBS) CANDIDATES
DBS qualification with passes in all four (4) subjects, plus two (2) WASSCE passes (A1 –D7) or two (2) SSSCE/ GBCE passes (A – D) in English Language and Mathematics.
G. GCE ‘A’ level /aBCE applicants
- FOUR (4) GCE ‘O’ Level/GBCE credit passes including English Language and Mathematics.
AND
- A minimum of two (2) GCE ‘A’ Level or two (2) ABCE passes in relevant subjects. A pass in General Paper will be an advantage.
H. Other certificateS and Diploma Applicants
i. A Diploma from a recognised higher institution.

Candidates must be at least twenty-five (25) years of age by 30th June 2020 and must attach proof of age with birth certificates or other legitimate documentary evidence to the completed application forms. In addition, Mature applicants must pass the Entrance Examinations to be conducted in English Language, Mathematics and General Knowledge. The mature candidate must have the relevant working experience in the subject area.
J. INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS
