Minimum University Requirements

These requirements are to be met in addition to the other programme specific (Departmental) requirements.

Master of Philosophy

Applicants must:

• Possess BSc., B.Ed., B.A, B-Tech or equivalent degrees with at least Second Class
  (Lower Division) in the relevant area of study
• Possess M.Tech, M.A, MSc, M.Ed, MBA in equivalent degrees in the relevant area of
  study.
• Attain a total of 36 Credit Hours
• Possess at least two satisfactory academic references.
• Pass a competitive examination/interview conducted by the University
• Possess M.Tech, M.A, MSc, M.Ed, MBA or equivalent qualification. Successful applicants will be admitted to the second year, to commence the synopsis presentation and thesis writing.

1-year top-up to Master of Philosophy

Applicants must:

• Possess M. Tech, M.A, MSc, M.Ed, MBA or equivalent qualification. Successful applicants will be admitted to the second year, to commence the synopsis presentation and thesis writing.

• Pass a competitive examination/interview conducted by the University
• Be a professionally qualified accountant and a member of one of the Accountancy bodies constituting the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC).
• Possession of at least, two years relevant working experience in the private or public sector will be an added advantage.

Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education

Applicants must:

• Possess a first degree from a recognized University in any field of study.
• Possess M.Tech, M.A, MSc, M.Ed, MBA or equivalent degrees in the relevant area of
  study.

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D)

Applicants must:

• Possess relevant Master’s degree (preferably a research degree) from an accredited
  University.
• Possess M.Sc. degree with research in the relevant field will also be considered for
  admission.
• Have a number of years working experience in the private or public sector will be an
  added advantage.
• Pass an interview before being admitted.
