The management of the Withrow University College Ghana has released the admission entry requirements for the admission of candidates into undergraduate programmes of the university for the academic year.

For BSc Information Technology, Mathematics and Business Studies
SSSCE/WASSCE holders seeking admission into Degree programs must have at least C6 (WASSCE Candidates) or D (SSSCE Candidates) in all their three (3) core and three Electives Subjects. Candidates should therefore possess at least credit scores/grades in the following: Three core subjects (English Language, Mathematics, (Core) and Integrated Science/Social Studies) and any three elective subjects in the relevant programs. Aggregate Score of the best six subjects (three core and three electives) must not exceed 36 (for WASSCE scale) and 24 (for SSSCE scale).
GCE Entrants Credits in 5 subjects at “O” level including English and Mathematics, 3 “A” Level passes in Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics and pass in General Paper.
HND and Other Diploma applicants seeking admission into Degree programs should possess at least a Second Class (Lower Division) in the relevant areas. The applicants would be admitted to level 100/200 depending on their selected programs. Candidates would be required to pass a selected interview to be conducted by the University College.
Foreign Students Requirements: Foreign students must have results slips translated into English. In addition, applicants must be able to speak and write fluently in English or equivalent established by the National Accreditation Board (NAB).
For BSc Public Health
SSSCE/WASSCE/GBCE: The general requirements for admission of WASSCE, SSSCE and GBCE candidates to first degree programs are three (3) credit passes in three relevant elective subjects.
(i) SSSCE Candidates: Credit Passes (A-D) in six (6) subjects comprising three (3) core subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, plus three (3) relevant elective subjects.
(ii) WASSCE Candidates: Credits Passes (A1-C6) in six (6) subjects comprising three (3) core subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, plus three (3) relevant electives subjects.
(iii) GBCE Candidates Credit Passes (A-D) in six (6) subjects comprising three (3) core subjects including English language and Mathematics plus three (3) relevant elective subjects.
HND and other Diploma Holders Seeking Admission into Degree Programs
HND and other Diploma applicants seeking admission into Degree programs should possess at least a Second Class (Lower Division) in the relevant area. The applicants would be admitted to level 200 depending on the programs for which they have applied. (b) Candidates would be required to pass a selection interview to be conducted by the University.
Mature Applicants:
- The applicant must be at least 25 years old, and show proof of age with birth certificate or any legitimate documentary proof of date of birth which is at least 25 years old at the time of application.
- Have passes in five G.C.E ‘O’ Level subjects including English Language, Mathematic/Statistics and Science;
- SSSCE/WASSCE holders must have passes in English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science and three elective subjects. (For candidates wishing to pursue Mathematics and Computer Science courses, the elective subjects should include Elective Mathematics).
- Candidates would be expected to write and pass a selection examination to be conducted by the University.
- Candidates who obtain satisfactory marks would be invited to attend an interview to be conducted by the University.
For BSc degree in Nursing
SSSCE/WASSCE holders seeking admission into Nursing programs must have
- Credit in the three (3) SSSCE/WASSCE core subjects (English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science plus credit in three electives (Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics)
- Credit in Five (5) GCE “O” Level including Mathematics, English plus Three (3) GCE “A” Level passes in Biology, Chemistry, Physics/Mathematics, and must have passed an interview: or
- Mature candidates with a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology or HND in Science Laboratory Technology with at least two (2) year post qualification experience, and must have passed an interview. Applicant should not be less than 25 years.
