Job Description

Purpose

• We seek the services of a result oriented person to manage and provide strategic leadership to the Corporate Finance and Advisory Services Unit.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the corporate finance business of the company
• Develop and implement a comprehensive 3-year strategy for the company’s corporate finance and advisory unit
• Lead origination, negotiation, due diligence and effectively direct and manage deals from beginning to end
• Secure profitable and sustainable business in the mid to large deal sector. General business development and sourcing of new deal
• Develop creative ways to meet clients financial and contracting constraints within the parameters of a financeable deal structure
• Structuring of complex financial deals
• Lead client meetings & pitches & provide strategic advice & proposals
• Preparing legal documents, term sheets, and prospectuses.
• Build and actively manage the relationship with new and existing stakeholders, clients, investors, regulators, and other partners
• Engage with key stakeholders to move deals forward, including financiers, internal team members, regulators snd clients
• Supervise the work of the corporate finance team providing guidance & motivation to drive maximum performance
• Assist with any other duties as and when required

Qualifications

• Must possess 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in a related firm
• 7 to 10 years experience must be either in corporate finance, capital raising, project and infrastructure focused investment banking. Demonstration of successfully closing complex deals
• Minimum of First Degree or equivalent in finance, economics, investment, mathematics or other relevant fields. A master’s degree in related field and certificate in the Ghana Stock Exchange Course
• A professional qualification such as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or any relevant professional qualification will be an added advantage

Key Skills & Competence

• Strong M&A and capital markets knowledge, structured finance, asset backed securities interests and experience
• Experience in developing and reviewing financial model, forecasts, valuations and pitch presentations
• Deep analytical skills and expertise
• Strong organizational management and leadership skills
• Ability to provide leadership to the team, generally for complex and high profile transactions. Autonomy to lead the onboarding of new deals
• Detail oriented with the ability to maintain accuracy whilst complying with deadlines
• The ability to act independently and within a team environment
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
• Ability to develop & maintain relationships, client-focused & self-motivated
• Possess global market knowledge, good business understanding, problem-solving skills, and business development skills.
