Eligibility Criteria:
Eligibility and Selection Criteria for Leeds Doctoral Scholarship To qualify for the doctoral scholarship at Leeds, applicants must meet certain criteria. Candidates must not been previously granted or are currently pursuing a doctoral degree. Additionally, awardees are required to initiate their studies by 1 October 2024 and must reside reasonably close to the University of Leeds throughout the scholarship duration. The selection process is rigorous and centers around merit. Each school within the university nominates candidates, and the final selection is conducted by the University of Leeds Scholarship Selection Panel. Academic and Language Requirements: Prospective applicants are required to possess an undergraduate First Degree, which should be equivalent to a UK First Class Honours degree. Alternatively, individuals may showcase substantial alternative experience or qualifications, such as achieving Distinction in a pertinent master’s program. Moreover, the university mandates an English language proficiency standard, with an overall IELTS score of 6.0. No individual component must fall below 5.5 unless the specific school or faculty specifies a higher standard.
