Teacher Trainees to Pocket GH¢204 as monthly allowances Per Semester

Teacher Trainees in all public Colleges of Education in the country shall receive their allowances beginning October 2017.

The allowances shall be paid per Semester, comprising four months per semester and Eight months in an academic year.

Unlike before the cancellation of the allowances, Trainees were paid for twelve months in a year, including vacations.

The total amount to be paid to each trainee per month shall be GH¢400.00 of which there shall be a deduction of GH¢196.00 at source (SLTF) as payment for feeding fee per student.

The amount to be paid into each Trainees’ account after all deductions shall be GH¢204.00.
