Presbyterian Church of Ghana is a mainline Protestant church in Ghana. The church was started by the Basel missionaries on 18 December 1828. The missionaries had been trained in Germany and Switzerland and arrived on the Gold Coast to spread Christianity.
Job Description

Purpose
• Manage all legal functions of the church and provide advice
Key Responsibilities
• Liaise with PCG legal advisors on all legal matters
• Provide legal advice to the church
• Prepare or review legal documents such as contracts, leases and MOUs with external parties
• Review and prepare internal policies and ensure that they are in compliance with statutory or legal requirements
• Represent the church in court or any other forum
• Gather evidence to formulate defense or initiate legal actions
• Identify any new which necessitates an improvement to the church’s standard legal documentation
• Develop processes to eradicate or mitigate legal liabilities
• Assist in internal disciplinary or investigative proceedings of staff
• Provide legal education to the church from time to time
• Perform any other incidental and related duties as directed by the GAC
Requirements
• LLB or BA Law
• Professional qualification (Barrister at Law)
• A minimum of 3 years post call experience
