Job Title: Assistant Deputy Internal Auditor

The Management of OLA College of Education, Cape Coast has the pleasure to advertise the positions of Assistant Deputy Internal Auditor for suitably qualified and competent applicants.

Job Summary

• In general, the Assistant Deputy Internal Auditor will provide independent, objective assurance and consulting services designed to add value and improve the College’s operations.
• He/She will help the College accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic disciplined approach to evaluate and improve risk management, control, and governance processes.

Responsibilities :

• Determining the reliability and adequacy of accounting, financial, and operational controls in the College
• Evaluate the procedures of the College to determine whether results are consistent with stated objectives and goals
• Monitoring compliance with established policies, plans, and procedures
• Appraising the quality of performance of those carrying out assigned responsibilities
• Assessing the extent to which assets are accounted for and safeguarded against losses
• Ensuring that reliable records form the basis for the preparation of appropriate financial and other data provided for decision-making
• Drawing the Principal’s attention to deficiencies in the system, instances of duplicated functions, waste or other inefficiencies with recommendations for remedies where necessary
• Carrying out special reviews of accounting and internal control systems with the view to minimizing weaknesses.

Qualifications

• Applicant must hold M Com or MBA (Finance or Accounting) and be Chartered.
• He/She must have served as a Senior Assistant Internal Auditor in a College of Education or comparable grade in a similar institution/ organization for at least five (5) years.
• Must be a member of a recognized Accountancy Professional Association, as well as a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors.

Job Title: Principal ICT Assistant (System Administrator)

The Management of OLA College of Education, Cape Coast has the pleasure of advertising the position of Principal ICT Assistant (System Administrator) for suitably qualified and competent applicants.

Duties:

• Supervising the construction and maintenance of the College’s ICT operational model and overseeing ICT network and internet operations
• Making detailed plans to accomplish ICT management and technical goals
• Organizing and supervising subordinate ICT-related staff.
• Supervising the installation and upgrading of hardware and software, programming and systems design, development of computer networks, implementation of internet and intranet sites; and
• Training of ICT-related staff.

Qualifications

Applicants must:

• Hold a second degree in Computer Science or related area from a recognized institution.
• Must be able to hold him or herself as System Administrator of the College Have a relative working experience in his/her subject area.

Job Title: Resource Management Tutor

The Management of OLA College of Education, Cape Coast has the pleasure to advertise the positions of Resource Management Tutor for suitably qualified and competent applicants.

DUTIES

• Teaching, setting, and marking of assignments and examination questions
• Invigilation of examinations
• Supervision of student projects
• Research and publication
• Assisting in the administration of the department’s Supervision of students internships
• Extension work/services to the college and the nation
• Any other related duties assigned by the Principal or his/her representative.

Qualifications

• Hold a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) good First Degree in a relevant subject area. Both degrees must be in the same subject area.
• Good character and a high degree of personal integrity and must be a distinguished Master of philosophy teacher with much emphasis in
• Resource Management.
• Have a minimum of two (2) years of working experience with a recognized higher institution.

NOTE

• Appointment to the position of a tutor shall be for a term of five (5) years and may be renewed for a second term upon satisfactory performance.
• A tutor’s appointment may be renewed up to a maximum of three terms that is a total of fifteen (15) years upon which the appointment may be terminated unless the applicant qualifies for promotion to Senior Tutor position.
